Chapter 6: Show Some Respect.

"What are you babbling about! Bastard!" Naruto probably hated people like Gaara the most, those who talk about killing as if it's nothing.

"Your family must not have taught you well." Shikamaru was on guard while trying to relax Gaara with his words.

This guy is strange, giving off a chilling feeling. If we really fought, even with Naruto, we might not win.

Shikamaru's palms were slightly sweaty. This guy's killing intent was terrifying, even the sand smelled like blood. He must have killed a lot of people... How did his parents teach him? Do they think it's still wartime?

For some reason, a sense of foreboding rose in Shikamaru's heart.

Damn it, what should we do now?

Gaara didn't care about their thoughts at all. The cold aura remained unchanged, but the killing intent grew stronger.

He slightly lowered his eyes, the pupils under the shadow were extremely cold: "If you dare to obstruct me, I'll kill you both."

To him, killing one person or three made no difference.

"What did you say!" Naruto instantly flared up.

But just as he was about to start cursing, Kurama's voice suddenly echoed from the sealed space: "Hey, kid, I've got your back. Go up and beat this guy."

In theory, Kurama in the sealed space couldn't directly talk to Naruto while the seal was intact. In theory, Naruto could only hear Kurama's voice after entering the sealed space.

Of course, that's just theory. In reality, after Naruto borrowed Kurama's chakra, Kurama could transmit his voice through the chakra, but only for some brief words. For a conversation, the seal would need to be broken or a gap opened.

"Kurama?" Naruto paused instinctively, the sudden voice leaving him a bit flustered, but he quickly realized it was Kurama's voice.

But that didn't matter.

The anger on Naruto's face slightly diminished, a strange confidence appearing on his face. He clenched his right fist and grinned at Gaara: "If you can do it, then try!"

"Hey Naruto!" Shikamaru looked at Naruto with a hint of panic. He didn't want to fight this monster exuding killing intent.

But the moment he looked at Naruto, he was stunned, as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

On Naruto's face, which he couldn't see himself, his eyes had completely changed color. Crimson pupils with black vertical slits, sharp fangs, and even his whiskers had become rougher. From Shikamaru's perspective, Naruto looked like a beast.

And a very powerful beast.

Almost at the same time, an aura no less cold than Gaara's spread out. The killing intent that didn't belong to Naruto erupted from his body, like a crimson gale rising from the ground, contending with Gaara's killing intent.

Shikamaru stood frozen in place, looking at Naruto as if meeting him for the first time.

Of course, it wasn't because he didn't want to move, but because he couldn't. The two powerful killing intents swirled around the room, making Shikamaru, an ordinary person, feel like he might die in the next second.

Hey, hey, hey, are these two guys both monsters? Shikamaru swallowed hard, retracting his previous statement that 'Naruto and I together wouldn't...

If Naruto says he can definitely win, then even if he's alone, he probably won't lose.'

At this moment, Naruto's confidence was unprecedentedly high. Of course, it wasn't just because of Kurama's support. Another reason was that with Kurama's Chakra, he could use the Summoning Jutsu to call Gamabunta!

In the sealed space, Kurama almost rolled his eyes to the back of his head when he heard Naruto's thoughts.

On the other side, there's a One-Tail Jinchuriki, and you're a Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. When both sides can only borrow a tiny bit of Chakra, you're actually thinking of using this precious Chakra to summon another monster? Are you looking down on the Tailed Beasts?

Well, summoning Gamabunta now indeed has a slightly higher chance of winning than going directly, but this doesn't change the fact that Naruto looks down on the Tailed Beasts.

It's decided. Next time this kid asks to borrow Chakra, I'll tell him to borrow it from Gamabunta.

He, the strongest Nine-Tails Kurama, holds grudges.

"This Chakra..." Gaara's eyes finally showed some fluctuation, but it wasn't excitement or recognition; it was a look of madness. "Is that so, you're one too, a monster... What's your name?"

"What are you talking about? I'm not a monster!" Naruto clenched his fists, his face turning cold under the influence of the Tailed Beast's Chakra. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto!"

From childhood to now, Naruto probably hated being called a monster or demon fox the most.

"Uzumaki Naruto... Ugh... Ahhh..." Gaara's face suddenly twisted in pain, blood vessels appearing in his eyes.

He looked at Naruto with a grimace, his hands trembling as he clutched his head despite being controlled by the Shadow Imitation Technique. "Uzumaki Naruto... If I kill you... If I kill you... Mom should be happy..."

"Damn!" Shikamaru's face changed drastically, his body trembling, and the shadow under his feet becoming unstable. "Naruto, the Shadow Imitation Technique is about to fail!"

Even the Shadow Imitation Technique can be forcibly broken. This guy is definitely not an ordinary monster.

"Kill!" With Gaara's shout, the sand scattered in the ward suddenly floated and condensed in the air, then attacked Naruto and Shikamaru like shuriken.

Almost simultaneously, the shadow under Shikamaru's feet broke completely. At the moment the Shadow Imitation Technique failed, his body suddenly froze. The moment the Ninjutsu was forcibly broken left him somewhat exhausted, and this exhaustion prevented him from dodging the attack in time.

"Not good!" Shikamaru gritted his teeth, watching the sand shuriken rush towards him, unable to move.

Fortunately, although Naruto wasn't the brightest, his physical abilities were top-notch.

Seeing Shikamaru exhausted from the broken Shadow Imitation Technique, Naruto quickly pulled a kunai from Shikamaru's ninja tools pouch and swung his right hand, blocking all the sand shuriken.

Naruto stood in front of Shikamaru, holding a kunai, and looked at his arm in astonishment, "The force is so strong, my whole arm feels numb."

Shikamaru, looking at Naruto's back, sighed in relief and pulled out a kunai as his strength gradually returned, "Naruto, the opponent is a mid-to-long-range Ninjutsu-type ninja. In this confined space, his techniques will be limited. To defeat him, you need to find an opportunity to get close and attack. I'll be on the side, looking for a chance to control him."

Shikamaru's expression gradually calmed down as he looked at Gaara,

"But the opponent is definitely wearing a sand armor like in the second round of the Chunin Exams. You'll need to use a technique to break his armor first..."

At this point, Shikamaru suddenly fell silent, then hesitantly asked, "Do you have any offensive techniques?"

It's not that he looked down on Naruto, but from what he knew, civilian ninjas generally relied on Taijutsu as Genin. It's not that they couldn't use Ninjutsu, but civilian Genin had no means to learn Ninjutsu unless they had a teacher.

Naruto was a civilian, and Shikamaru knew this, which is why he asked the question.

Hopefully, Kakashi-sensei had already taught Naruto some Ninjutsu.

But Naruto just grinned, "No problem, I can use my fists to break this bastard's armor bit by bit!"

Shikamaru: "..."

Great, just as expected.

Hopefully, this guy's fists can really do it.

Shikamaru sighed, "What a hassle."

But, this guy wants to kill Lee. No matter how troublesome it is, we can't let him succeed.

Shikamaru's eyes sharpened, "In that case, my suggestion is to take this guy outside the hospital. For a Taijutsu-type ninja facing a mid-to-long-range Ninjutsu-type ninja with strong defenses, a small-scale encounter is not the best way to deal with it. We need some time to test his defenses."

Gaara clutched his head, his whole body trembling. The gourd on his back had opened, and countless grains of yellow sand were spraying out, gradually turning the entire hospital room yellow.

Even with the headache and immense pain, Gaara's face still bore a smile, a twisted and crazy smile, "Kill... Mom, don't worry... Soon... Soon I'll give you this guy's blood..."

"This guy is disgusting." Naruto felt a chill, "He actually calls the sand 'Mom'."

Shikamaru was also helpless, "Did you even listen to what I said?"

"Huh? You said to smash this guy to pieces, right?" Naruto confidently replied.

Shikamaru: "..."

I'm exhausted. Chouji, Ino, I'll never complain about you again, really.

Just as the tension reached its peak and the battle was about to erupt, the hospital room door suddenly opened. A powerful presence, not inferior to Naruto and Gaara, appeared. It wasn't killing intent, but a pressure that could almost crush one's nerves.

The three of them almost instinctively turned their heads and saw a green-clad figure staring straight at them: "The official match is tomorrow, there's no need to be in such a hurry."

"Or are you planning to stay here tonight?" Although the words were simple, they felt like a sharp blade piercing between the three of them, dispersing the red chakra and the yellow sand, even the killing intent was instantly suppressed. Such strength, a Jonin?

Shikamaru couldn't believe his eyes as he looked at the figure at the door of the hospital room. Might Guy-sensei... so strong, is this the strength of Asuma's colleague? Does Asuma have such power too?

"Ughhh!" Gaara gritted his teeth tightly, the killing intent and ferocity in his eyes almost uncontrollable.

Every time he saw Might Guy or Rock Lee, his head felt like it was being struck painfully. Kill them... he wanted to kill them.

But... he couldn't, his inner self told him so.
