Chapter 30: Without Some Talk No Jutsu, It's Hard.

You say that in the original story, Naruto defeated Shukaku with summoning jutsu?

That's different. In this situation, Shukaku is about to break the seal and come out, while in the original story, Gaara used the fake sleep technique to draw out Shukaku's power. A Shukaku that can't even use the Tailed Beast Ball can't be called a tailed beast.

It's like the Edo Tensei versions of the First and Second Hokage, a smaller version of a Wood Release ninja and a Second Hokage who can't use Flying Thunder God. Can they be called the First and Second Hokage?

Anyway, the situation is like this: Shukaku's seal is becoming very unstable. Unless Shukaku is stopped or Gaara is killed, in the end, only Jiraiya can handle it, because no one here can defeat Shukaku.

Shikamaru does know about tailed beasts, but knowing isn't the same as understanding. In his memory, the strongest ninja is the Third Hokage, and he hasn't seen the Fourth Hokage's strength, but it should be similar to the Third Hokage. Using the Third Hokage as a reference, it's not hard to imagine the strength of a tailed beast.

In theory, he thinks Naruto should be able to handle it.

Unfortunately, he overestimated Sarutobi Hiruzen.

At least he overestimated the old Sarutobi Hiruzen.

"Ugh~" Gaara's body paused, and he fell to the ground with Temari, holding his head in pain and repeating, "Blood, my blood..."

Temari stopped, her face full of worry: "Gaara? Are you okay, Gaara?"

After all, he is her younger brother. Even though he never treated her well, seeing Gaara like this made her instinctively want to help him.

Unfortunately, Gaara didn't appreciate it. This family bond came too late, so late that Gaara didn't care at all: "Get lost!"

Shukaku's chakra surged, and powerful energy exploded from Gaara's arm, sending Temari flying like a ball. She landed heavily on the ground, spitting out blood, her face full of disbelief.

"That thing... is coming!"

At the same time, the three of them landed on the ground. Shikamaru stood next to Temari, looking a bit grim: "Looks like we don't need to deal with you."

Temari looked at the three of them, blood slowly flowing from her mouth: "Run away, you're no match for that thing."

"What exactly is that thing?" Sasuke asked with a serious face.

He felt the chakra from Gaara, and his Sharingan activated uncontrollably. The evil chakra made him tremble.

"It's a monster," Temari replied bitterly, "a monster that killed Gaara's childhood and future."

"A monster? We have one too." Shikamaru looked seriously at Naruto beside him, "Naruto, that guy is yours. As I said before, use all your strength."

Naruto's face was also serious, and he nodded directly: "I understand."

Just feeling this chakra reminded Naruto of the scene in the hospital. At that time, Gaara's crazy aura was violent, but it was far less than now. It was like... standing in front of Kurama without the barrier of the cell door.

Sasuke took two steps forward, gritting his teeth in frustration: "I can fight too."

He was about to move forward.

But the next second, Shikamaru's hand stopped him: "Right now, you should be like me, using all your strength just to move. This opponent isn't someone we should face. Our job is to hold off those behind us."

Several figures landed behind them, wearing the unique ninja outfits of Sunagakure Village, looking at them with killing intent.

Sasuke shook off Shikamaru's hand and pointed at Naruto: "Then why can Naruto face him?"

"The opponent is a monster from Sunagakure, and Naruto... is a monster from Konohagakure," Shikamaru explained calmly. "I know you're not happy about it, but do you know what a Tailed Beast is? Each Tailed Beast has the power to easily destroy a country. That guy has one of these monsters sealed inside him."

Shikamaru took a deep breath: "Only a monster can defeat a monster."

He didn't mean to insult Naruto. He was just trying to make Sasuke give up the idea of going to his death.

Sasuke looked at Naruto and Gaara in disbelief, his Sharingan spinning. In his eyes, Gaara was filled with crazy and violent chakra, while Naruto's chakra was supposed to be calm.

But just now, a more violent and crazier chakra flowed out of Naruto, making Sasuke's eyes hurt just by looking at it. He seemed to see a crazy face, a face like a wild beast, untamed and full of bloodlust.

Sasuke swallowed, stunned: "What... is that?"

"A monster," Shikamaru explained simply.

Temari leaned against a tree, blood still flowing from her mouth, but the shock in her eyes didn't lessen: "That blond boy, Uzumaki Naruto, you say he's a monster? Is he like Gaara?"

"That's right." Shikamaru got into a stance, forming hand signs facing the Sunagakure Ninjas behind him. "Tailed Beasts are like natural disasters, and now all Tailed Beasts are sealed. The place of the seal is on the ninjas of each village. In the ninja world, they call people with Tailed Beasts sealed inside them—Jinchuriki."

Sasuke: "..."

Temari: "..."

Sunagakure Ninjas behind them: Why did we come here?

As if hearing Shikamaru's words, or maybe sensing the familiar chakra from Kurama, Gaara turned his head. His body was half-covered in sand, with thick sand arms like a monster's, and his pupils had completely turned into Shukaku's.

Gaara saw Naruto and opened his mouth, showing a monstrous smile: "Let's fight, Uzumaki Naruto of Konohagakure... Mother... Mother wants blood..."

Naruto twitched, looking at Gaara's drooling face, feeling uneasy: "You and Neji must have a lot to talk about. One calls me dad, the other calls me mom. Your heads must be broken."

"I agree with you," Kurama nodded from behind the bars.

Gaara was indeed crazy at first, and Neji wasn't much better. Both of them were not quite right in the head before Naruto's talk-no-jutsu.

Naruto stood in front of the bars, looking at Kurama helplessly: "Kurama, if you only lend me this much chakra, I might not be able to beat him."

"Nonsense." Kurama picked his nose and flicked it. "That guy's way of using the tailed beast's chakra is very rough. Even though the amount of chakra looks scary, the actual combat power is far from what that amount of chakra should have."

"But the chakra I give you is all under your control. As long as you can ignore the negative emotions in my chakra, this amount of chakra is enough to deal with him."

Kurama wasn't lying. It felt like Gaara forcibly drew ten units (ten Kakashi's worth) of chakra from Shukaku, but this chakra was still under Shukaku's control. Gaara could only control about one unit, and the rest just made him look scary.

But when Kurama lent chakra to Naruto, he also gave Naruto control over it. Even though it was only five units, Naruto could use it much more effectively than Gaara's showy but weak chakra.

Unless Shukaku went crazy and gave Gaara control over the chakra, but is that possible? No way. Shukaku isn't the type to say, 'We have a common enemy, so let's team up.' To make Shukaku give up control, Gaara would have to be clear-headed and use a full set of talk-no-jutsu.

Unfortunately, Gaara didn't have talk-no-jutsu skills.
