Chapter 199: Whoa, This Power... Maybe We Should Run?

"Just like the Sasuke from the future said—arrogant and full of himself."

Naruto sighed but didn't say it out loud. Their plan was to catch Urashiki off guard with a big attack, so they couldn't reveal the existence of future Sasuke just yet.

Well, might as well say hello first!

"Rasengan!"

Naruto charged straight at Urashiki, Rasengan in hand.

Of course, a direct attack like this wouldn't work. Urashiki didn't even need to use his strange teleportation technique—he simply lifted himself higher into the air and easily dodged Naruto's attack.

Watching Naruto fall after missing, Urashiki smirked mockingly.

"Can't even fly? What a low-level creature. Let me teach you a lesson."

As he fell, Naruto twisted his body to face Urashiki and grinned.

"Idiot."

Before Urashiki could react, Sasuke appeared behind him. In his hand was a crackling, jet-black bolt of lightning, shaped like a spear, which he drove straight into Urashiki's body.

A two-on-one ambush—nothing wrong with that, right?

Nope.

That's why Naruto called him an idiot. Why focus on just one person when you're fighting two?

As black lightning surged, Urashiki's body shattered. Sasuke's red eyes caught the sight of scattered chakra fluttering in the air—thousands of tiny paper cranes with flapping wings.

"Cheap tricks like that won't work on me."

Urashiki's voice came from behind. When Sasuke turned, he saw those eerie blue Rinnegan eyes staring at him.

Sasuke's own Mangekyou spun as he realized something was off, but before he could react, Urashiki's fishing rod had already pierced through his chest. Blood splattered.

Naruto landed on the ground, his slit-pupil eyes reflecting the image of Sasuke being impaled. His smile slowly faded.

Urashiki narrowed his eyes slightly. As the blood before him turned into smoke, he retracted his fishing rod with a cold snort.

"Pointless trick."

Sasuke stepped out of the shadows, his Mangekyou still spinning as he looked at Urashiki seriously.

"Naruto, that teleportation technique of his doesn't need any prep time. He can use it instantly."

"I noticed." Naruto nodded. "And just like the future you said, he has some kind of time-reversal ability. It's like he already knew you were going to attack. One moment he looked surprised, the next he was suddenly confident."

Time reversal—Urashiki's most troublesome ability.

Unlike Momoshiki and Kinshiki, Urashiki wasn't actually that good at combat. In fact, he was pretty easy to fool with simple tactics. But his ability to rewind time made him incredibly difficult to deal with. Unless they used an attack that was way beyond his ability to dodge or something that caused continuous damage, he could just keep rewinding time to find the perfect way to avoid it.

The Otsutsuki clan all had weird abilities, but his was especially annoying.

Floating in the air, Urashiki looked down at them with pure arrogance.

"Out of ideas already? And you call yourselves warriors? This is why you're just low-level creatures."

Then his tone changed.

"If you won't attack, then let me show you the difference in power."

A dark portal opened behind Urashiki. As he flew into it, his chakra signature instantly disappeared from their senses.

Naruto's expression turned serious as he expanded his sensory field, covering all of Roran. Sasuke's Mangekyou Sharingan scanned the area rapidly, trying to detect the split-second chakra fluctuation from when the portal reopened.

But… his eyes weren't the Tenseigan.

By the time Naruto sensed the overwhelming chakra again, Urashiki had already appeared behind them, grinning wickedly as he swung his fishing rod at both of them.

His speed when using space-time ninjutsu was absolutely insane!

Naruto quickly raised both hands, golden chakra forming a massive fox head that shielded him and Sasuke, blocking Urashiki's attack.

"Didn't the future me seal away most of his power? Why is he still such a pain to fight?" Naruto muttered.

The huge golden Kurama head snapped its jaws at Urashiki, but he easily dodged it. Rising higher into the sky, he smirked.

"That was close. Really close."

He held up his thumb and index finger, leaving just a tiny gap between them.

Mocking them completely.

"Tsk." Naruto frowned as he looked up at Urashiki in the sky. "Kurama, do you have any way to sense that guy's space-time jutsu?"

"Difficult," Kurama shook his head. "That guy's space-time jutsu is on a high level—it's an exclusive Otsutsuki technique for teleportation. As far as I know, the only way to counter it is the Jogan."

In the original events, even though Naruto and Sasuke had Six Paths-level power, they still couldn't sense Kaguya when she used Yomotsu Hirasaka. Kurama didn't know the exact mechanics of that space-time jutsu, making it nearly impossible to counter.

"But you could try my good-and-evil sensing ability. As long as Urashiki shows any ill intent, you'll be able to sense him the moment he opens a portal," Kurama suggested, offering a more realistic approach.

Naruto frowned as golden chakra rippled around him. "I can't sense any ill intent from Urashiki. Why?"

Kurama was silent for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't know."

Even in the original events, Naruto couldn't sense Kaguya's presence.

The Otsutsuki clan had a strange constitution. Almost any ninja could sense their immense chakra, yet abilities like good-and-evil sensing or even the Rinnegan—powers at the Six Paths level—couldn't detect them at all.

Sasuke's Rinnegan had space-time jutsu, yet he still couldn't sense Urashiki's space-time techniques. That was why Sasuke got played so badly in the original events.

Strangely enough, though, basic chakra sensing techniques like the Mind's Eye of the Kagura could pick up on them clearly.

Even the Sage of Six Paths had this same limitation.

Naruto sighed and turned to Sasuke. "Sasuke, I'm going all out. Cover me if anything happens."

Sasuke thought for a moment, then nodded slightly. "Alright."

He stepped back a couple of paces, positioning himself behind Naruto.

Naruto took a deep breath and clasped his hands together. Looking up at Urashiki in the sky, golden chakra erupted from his body. "Urashiki, this is my first time using this power in a fight. Try not to go down too fast!"

Urashiki narrowed his eyes. This power reminded him of an unpleasant experience.

"Tch." Some of the arrogance faded from his expression. "That traitor's power, huh…"

In the future, this was the same power that had sealed away his chakra, causing a mistake in his time-traveling attempt. That error landed him here, made him lose the "plow," and forced him to rely on that annoying Isshiki.

If Urashiki had a personal list of things he hated, the power of the Six Paths would definitely be in the top three.

He never expected this brat to master it at such a young age…

This could be a problem.

Maybe… I should just run for now?
