Rufus's eyes were intense and heavy with suspicion, he looked at Phoebe like he wanted to dig all of her secrets out of his head at that very moment. Any other person would have trembled or fallen on their knees under intense scrutiny from the great Rufus Saxon, but Phoebe did not break a sweat.
She stared right back at him before dismissing his gaze as if he was nothing more than a mosquito.
