"All of us are going!" Layla asked in bewilderment as she stopped midway in closing the zipper of the cabin bag.
"Yeah. Sorry, I just felt it would be wrong to leave Roderick and Fiona behind. Also, I am trying to become a good uncle to Roderick. I mean... I want him to stop misunderstanding me," Lucius explained.
"That's good to hear," Layla said with a smile.
"You aren't upset, right? It was me who suggested not to take them at first, later, I decided on my own that they also should join us," Lucius said in a low voice.
"I'm not upset. I am done with the packing. Father wants it to be a day trip only, so I packed light," Layla asserted.
"A day trip won't be fun," Lucius murmured.
"I told Father. However, I need to take over my duties too. It feels surreal sometimes. Father chose me. I-I feel such a huge responsibility on my head," Layla said, feeling a bit worried if she would do well.
