If I were a good guy

After leaving the party, Roderick dialed Ivy's number. "Ivy, meet me for coffee," he requested.

"I'm on my way home. Is it really necessary to meet at this hour?" Ivy asked, glancing at the traffic that was thickening ahead.

"Of course, it's necessary. That's why I called you," Roderick insisted but with a hint of something else, something Ivy couldn't quite place.

"Alright. I'll send you the cafe address. We can meet there," Ivy replied. She ended the call and muttered to herself, "He sounded a little off."

She quickly typed the address of Caffè Sereno into her phone and sent it to Roderick. "Drive to Caffè Sereno," she instructed her driver, watching the traffic slowly clear up. As the road opened up, the car smoothly made its way toward the café.

Once they arrived, Ivy stepped out of the car, her heels clicking on the pavement as she walked inside. She scanned the room for Roderick's presence.
