Layla zipped the leather duffle bag for Lucius. She took a deep breath and placed both hands on her chest. "Everything will be fine. Nothing will happen to Aiden and Lucius," she told herself.

She heard the footsteps and turned to look. "I've packed your bag," Layla said, holding its straps.

Lucius hugged her tightly, her face buried in his chest and they both closed their eyes. "I know you are worried. But I'm thankful that you have put your faith in me. I'll return safely with Aiden," he said.

"You have to," Layla said, wrapping her arms tightly around him. "I will wait for you. Just don't worry about anything here."

"Hmm." The two of them stayed like that for some time. He pulled away only after planting a soft kiss on the center of her forehead.

"I'll see you at the airport," Layla said.
