Alessia scoffed, setting down the cloth she had been using to wipe the table. "And why shouldn't you do such a small task yourself? You stay at home all day!" she chided, narrowing her eyes at him.
Demitri let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "Grandma, I work late into the night. That's why I wake up late in the morning. It's not that I don't want to help, but I barely get enough rest as it is." He softened his tone, hoping to placate her. "Please, just ignore the cleaning for now and come with me. Let me show you to your room."
