Demitri woke up from his drowsy state in the evening, stretching slightly before getting out of bed. After freshening up, he made his way downstairs, only to stop in his tracks at the unexpected sight before him.
His eyes widened in surprise as he spotted Nora still sitting in the living room. He had assumed she would have left long ago.
"Sorry, I slept longer than usual today," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'll drop you home now."
Before Nora could respond, Alessia walked in from the lawn, still wearing her gardening gloves. She casually removed them, her expression calm yet firm.
"I already spoke to Nora's uncle. She's staying the night here," she announced.
Demitri blinked, completely caught off guard. "What?" he asked, staring at his grandmother in bewilderment. His gaze flickered to Nora, who only fiddled with her fingers.
Demitri held the arm of his grandmother and took her aside.
