Stop Training her Theo

"I need to talk to a mage about this, I don't know what to do." Ghod muttered to himself

Ghod thought about what he had seen and wanted more information about the prophecy.

Ghod's journey to find answers to Acantha's power began at dawn, the air still cool from the night before.

Acantha's power was beautiful and terrifying, and Ghod knew he needed guidance.

The mage in the distant village was his only hope. The forest path was narrow, as he walked through the path, his boots leaving a print on the ground.

Ghod moved swiftly, his senses sharp, ready to catch any scent of danger. With every movement of the leaves, every noise seemed louder.

His mind returned to the night before, to Acantha's hurt expression and the electrifying power that had come out through her.

He clenched his fists as he walked faster. He has decided to go without his guards to make the journey faster.

Unknown to Ghod, Meliana followed him silently, her scent masked by a concoction of herbs and oils she had painstakingly prepared.

She moved like a shadow, her eyes never leaving Ghod's body.

Meliana's heart raced with fear of not being discovered by him. She had gone to his room to seduce him at dawn. She followed him when she saw him come out of his room and walk out of the mansion.

She planned to confront him to see things her way and make him chase Acantha out.

She said it was her chance to drive a wedge between Ghod and Acantha to reclaim what she believed was rightfully hers.

She had seen him carrying Acantha to his room the other night and spending time with her,

He didn't leave the room, go to work, or see her the night before she cornered him in the hallway.

"I miss you, Ghod; it's been a while since you graced my bed," Meliana said, but he pushed her away, ignoring her words.

After hours of travel, Ghod reached the mage's dwelling, a secluded cabin deep within the forest.

The place has an aura of ancient magic; the atmosphere is filled with unseen energy. Ghod approached the door, his knuckles rapping firmly against the weathered wood.

Silence greeted him. He knocked again, more insistent this time. Still nothing. Frustration gnawed at him.

He needed answers, and time was slipping away. With a final glance at the door, Ghod turned on his heel and began the long trek back to the mansion.

Hidden in the trees, Meliana watched Ghod leave. She waited until he was out of sight before stepping forward. Her pulse quickened as she approached the cabin, her mind racing with schemes.

This was her opportunity. She would do whatever it took to win Ghod back.

Meliana didn't have to wait long. The mage, a tall, slender figure cloaked in dark robes, appeared from the forest, a knowing smile on his lips. He seemed to materialize from the very shadows themselves.

"I know why you are here," the mage said, his voice a low, melodic whisper that sent chills down Meliana's spine.

She nodded, swallowing her nerves. "I need something from you. Something to ensure that Ghod and Acantha are no longer a threat to me."

The mage's eyes filled with interest as he smiled wickedly. "And what are you willing to offer in return?"

Meliana reached into her cloak and pulled out a pouch of gold coins.

The mage raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. She gritted her teeth, her desperation growing.

"Anything," she said, her voice trembling. "I will give you anything."

A slow, sinister smile spread across the mage's face. "Very well. I shall give you what you seek. But remember, everything comes with a price."

Meliana watched as the mage began to chant, his hands weaving strange patterns in the air. She could feel the power around her, a dark promise of future things.

........

Ghod stormed into the training grounds at the pack's territory, his eyes locking onto Theo. The beta werewolf was amid a training session with several pack members, his movements swift and precise. Ghod's arrival brought the session to an abrupt halt; the tension increased.

"Theo," Ghod growled, his voice almost a roar. "We need to talk. Now."

Theo nodded, dismissing the other trainees with a wave of his hand. He followed Ghod to a secluded area; his face held a blank expression.

"What's this about, Ghod?" Theo asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

Ghod's cheeks flared up. "Why didn't you tell me you were training Helena?"

Theo's jaw tightened. " Hele... who..... oh you mean Acantha, well She asked me to help her. She wanted to learn how to defend herself better."

"That's not the point," Ghod snapped. "You should have come to me first. I am the Alpha. I should have been informed."

Theo met Ghod's gaze, unflinching. "With all due respect, Alpha, Acantha is your Luna. She has the right to seek training if she feels it's necessary."

Ghod took a step closer, his presence intimidating. "She's been putting herself in danger. Last night, she. Unleashed... Deciding not to tell him.. she almost hurt herself training with a sword. You should have warned me."

Theo's eyes widened in surprise. "I had no idea it would come to that. She showed no signs of inability to handle the sword during our sessions."

Ghod's anger increased a cold, hard edge to his voice. "From now on, you do not train her without my explicit permission. Do I make myself clear?"

Theo nodded; his expression troubled. "Understood, Alpha" making a mocking quote in the air as he says the name Alpha.

"But maybe you should talk to her. Find out why she needed to come to me first."

Ghod's face turned red the more as he thought of the words Theo said, the words hitting home.

He knew Theo was right, but the thought of confronting Helena, of facing her pain, was almost more than he could bear. With a final glare, he turned and walked away.

As Ghod returned to the Alpha's mansion, he wasn't happy that he hadn't gotten more information about Helena's power. He needed to find a way to help her.

Ghod found Helena still in his room. Seeing her weak posture pierced his heart, guilt and regret flooding him. He approached her slowly, unsure of what to say,

"Helena" he began, his voice softer than before. "We need to talk."

She looked up at him with a sad demeanor. "About what?"

"About the argument between you and Meliana. About everything."

He took a deep breath, his eyes pleading. "I'm sorry I've been so distant. I'm sorry I haven't been there for you how I should have." Acantha looked up at him and held his gaze.

Ghod reached out, taking her hand in his. "I'm here now.

She nodded a small, tentative smile. "Thank you, Ghod. "I just want to feel like we're in this together."

Ghod pulled her into his arms, holding her tightly. "We are.."

Ghod kept a close eye on Acantha the following days, his concern growing about her powers.
