Dungeon Raid part II

Arin turned to Uravis, confusion painting his features, "What are slime mites?" he asked, taking one step back, away from the sea of slime mites.

Uravis pulled off his sheath and tossed it aside, "They are sticky tiny insects that move like a slime, very hard to pick out just one," he explained as he picked up a twig from the ground, then he crouched down beside the black sea taking a good look at it.

He slowly dipped the twig into the slime, watching as they rapidly ate up the twig, devouring it in an instance. He raised himself back up and sighed. 'These annoying pest always have a way of retuning to frustrate me,' he thought, walking over to the sheath he put aside, he took out his sword.

His wrist wrapping tightly around the bottom of the blade, from the corner of his eyes, he could see the boulder reducing bit by bit, causing the others to move closely together in panic.

"Arin do something," One of the girls screamed, her red hair tied in a neat bun that accentuated the shape of her face and her hazel eyes.

"You guys are going to have to jump," Uravis announced, leaving where he was to the edge of the ground he stood on, the black goo threatening to touch his boots

"What do you mean jump, It's too far," the red haired girl said again, now venting her frustration on Uravis who was simply trying to help. "Arin, what are you going to say about this?"

"Nothing, I don't know what that even is," he gestured at the goo and then pointed at Uravis, "He knows what it is so I suggest you do as he says."

Tyson scoffed, crossing his arms to his chest, "You are more experienced, tell us what these are and give us a solution."

"Slime mites, flesh eating insects, any close contact with anything they feast and leave nothing but pieces that they could not finish," Uravis explained, just like how he saw the mites in his games, they were exactly the same in real life. Pests.

Only that they were more terrifying.

"Stay away from the edge guys," Arin suggested as he dragged a wide and long rock over to the edge, he raised it up with Uravis help after understanding what Arin was trying to do.

Then with a gentle push, the rock fell over, creating a bridge between the boulder Tyson and girls stood on and them.

"Come on, hurry up!" Arin yelled, holding out his hands for them. Ivie, the quiet but calculative one strolled across, she slapped Arin's hands away and stood aside, staring coldly at the others.

Tyson followed, leaving the red head who refused to cross out of fright, she clutched her sword, continuously retreating when she placed her leg on the rock. "What are you waiting for? Cross over Kim!" Arin yelled, causing her to release a panicked scream.

Ivie chuckled dryly while shaking her head, "She is not going to make it if she stay there for another five minutes," she stated, earning a side glance from Uravis, that immediately irritated her, "What?"

"Nothing," but there was something, she reminded him of someone in his past life. The voice and nonchalant attitude struck a bell but he couldn't place where he met such a person before. He turned to Arin and whispered, "What ability or skill does she have?"

"She can see tiny fractions of the future, and also has great eye sight, like binoculars," He explained, averting his gaze from Ivie, then back to Kim. "You heard Ivie, cross!"

"No! these black goo is so disgusting, What if i fall?"

"Then we send what is remaining of you back home," Uravis said nonchalantly, earning a surprised look from Tyson and Ivie.

But then, a memory from his days as a gamer hit him, he heaved a sigh and walked over to Ivie. "Do me a favor."

"What is it? And what do I get in return?" she instantly asked, not hesitating one bit.

Uravis thought for a while, racking his brain to look for something valuable he had that he could give her, "Ah yes, Dinner at my place, My...uhm sister makes the best food," he whispered, earning a side glance from her. "So.."

"Fine," she answered unfolding her arms, "What do you want to do?"

"Distract the mites and drive them away from Kimberly, what do you think would happen if I did that?" he asked anxiously, impatient because they were wasting time, and the boulder Kim stood on was breaking bit by bit.

Ivie sighed and closed her eyes, her vision blurring then a flash of light that activated her abilities, after a brief moment she opened her eyes and glanced at him, with a questionable gaze. "There are two things, You either get devoured by them, or you find the artefact we are looking for as a result of running away from them."

Uravis gave a small nod and walked back to Arin, he took out a torch from his bag and turned it on, the slime mites instantly bending towards the light.

They moved away from the boulder, rose past the edge of where Arin stood and then towards Uravis. "You guys should go ahead, I'm right behind you," he said to them as Kim crossed the boulder.

Just as Kim crossed the mites closed in on Uravis, rising like a mountain as they prepared to devour their prey, Uravis smirked and ran off, flashing the torch at them, so they would follow him.

'Okay, Let's see, They are terrified of fire and they can't move in water, so...' he trailed off and made a turn, his grip tightening around his sword in his other hand.

However, he came across saw what looked like a beast, with a single horn sticking out of the side of its, a large femur bone in his hands and skull in the other, Nasty brown jagged teeths that had bits of flesh between them.

Uravis froze, making an attempt to turn around but the mites had already blocked his path. 'Great,' he thought, taking his gaze back to the beast with yellow eyes glaring fiercely at him.

Uravis raised his sword, cooking up something in his head, then it came to him. As Uravis he was himself, and he had to limit his movements because he was still a mortal. But as Drakonis he could take risks and with his enhanced physical abilities, there were other things he could do other than wield a sword perfectly.

Without thinking twice, he leaped onto the wall, did a flip onto the back of the beast and flashed the torch at the mites.

With a swift movements of his sword, he plunged it into the skull of the beast, gripped it tight and jumped off the beast, descending along with the sword that was still in the poor monster's flesh.

Seeing as the mites began to go rampage at the smell of blood, he smiled, proud of himself and ran off.

Unfortunately, he as a result of being distracted, he missed a step and tumbled over, rolling into another cave. His hair and clothes getting covered with dust.

He groaned painfully each time hus body hit something and he unfortunately crashed into it still not stopping.

In an attempt to stop forcefully, he crashed into a statue and fell over, landing with a heavy thud.

A painful groan then escaped his lips, his body ached from the impact, he sat up and rubbed the back of his head.

Only for him to open his eyes and see a chest, the chaos he caused made the lock break. He already knew what was in it, Ivie was right.

"I was right," he heard her voice behind him, with footsteps and surprise gasps.

"Well that was fun," he uttered and lost consciousness, giving into the darkness that called out to him,
