Sweet Revenge

I go after them as they are still within my sense range of thirty meters. I can run faster than them and block them, but I followed them and intentionally made some sounds so the will know I am coming after them.

They start to run faster towards the nearest outer rim of the swamp to escape and I follow them closely just keeping ten meters away from them so they can try to run away from me in desperation I had when they were following me in the Bamboo forest.

I increase my speed when they are almost at the end of the swamp and get in front of them blocking their escape.

"Hah... Hah... Hah... Just.. Just let us go and we will give you anything you want." Mike looks at me and pleads me to let them go, just like how the kids were pleading to them just thirty minutes ago.

"Oh..!! You can give me anything I want?" I ask them with seriousness in my tone to which Kavin replies "Yes, We can. Credits, jewels anything you want, we can give them." I just look at them with disgust as they didn't let the kids go or even considered to leave them, but now they are trying to negotiate to escape from me.

"Tch.. Tch.. I am not interested in those." I tell them and their faces immediately changes reflecting panic in their hearts. Mike asks "What else do you need? We can give you anything."

I look at their pathetic expressions and say " Well, I might ask you of something. But.." To which Kavin immediately says "Tell us what you want, we will get it to you within a week."

"Oh! Hmm.. Okay. In that case, I want the lives of the two hundred and seventeen people you have killed till now." I tell them after thinking for a minute.

"What do you mean? We have never killed anyone in our life." Mike tells with a stern tone trying to defend against the accusation.

"Don't tell me that, cause I even know the names of each and everyone you have killed in the name of 'having fun'." I tell them trying to control my anger as I know anger will make my mind blank with only intention to harm them.

They look at my bronze expressionless mask for a few seconds and Mike broke the silence asking "Who are you?" To which I reply "Someone who will serve justice on behalf them."

The bronze mask keeps my voice muffled and silences the emotions, which gives a feeling of expressionless, but only I know how angry I am and how badly I want to kill them slowly and painfully.

They look at each other for a second and I can feel a deja-vu happening. They are getting ready to attack me, which is what I wanted them to do from the start.

They start running towards me with their hammers in hand ready to strike me down with their full power.

They come at me one after the other which gives me enough time to dodge their attacks with ease.

I kept dodging their continuous attacks for fifteen minutes which made their face burn in rage and they started using their skills on me.

After another five minutes, I start swinging my longsword at them, slicking their non-vital parts of the body and not hitting any artery making sure they will live longer till I satisfy my vengeance.

I keep dodging and attacking them for another five minutes before they fall on the ground due to exhaustion. They have used all the attributes, skills and energy but were unable to even come close to touching me.

I glance at them for ten seconds before I take two healing potions and pour it on them so the wounds I inflicted on them will heal thinking 'Get up boys, I am yet to complete my warm-up.'

After a minute, their wounds are healed and they stand-up with little effort as they are still feeling dizzy due to lack of energy. I throw them two energy potions I bought yesterday and waited for them to drink it while looking at me with rage.

All the potions sold in the market has a seal by the government run Merchant Guild and can't be duplicated or replaced after breaking it. So they know it is a legit potion, drank immediately and started attacking me again, this time together.

I kept dodging them and wounding them followed by healing them repeating it for more than an hour until all the healing and energy potions I bought were used up.

Every time, they felt they had more than a hundred cuts on their bodies unable to move, just like how they left me because of the people who came to save me by chance.

I used my last healing potions on them, healing most of the wounds leaving only a few so they can gain conscious and know I am dragging them somewhere away from the town.

After a few minutes, they gained consciousness and started begging me to let them go which acted as if I didn't hear them. They tried to cut the rope I used to bind them using their teeth, but they couldn't. It is an A grade rope which can't be cut by anyone below High-C grade.

I dragged them deeper into the swamp to the border of Sector-2 where Frostar will be waiting to 'collect' the targets I have apprehended.

It took me three hours to teach the location. Frostar was waiting for me, but is still surprised to see me coming in with my targets before noon.

He nodded at me with a laugh saying "Good work kid." But looking at their tattered cloths and the scars that were visible on their bodies due to the deeper cuts, his laugh stops.

He is clearly disappointed in my performance, but I can't be blamed for it as they did not tell me in what condition they should be to complete my mission.

After dropping them at the foot of Frostar, I just nod back and turn around to leave the location and head back home with a clear satisfaction in my heart and a smile on my face.

I have achieved my short-term goals to become powerful to protect my family and to get my revenge. There is no one in Havet to challenge me and no one will dare to touch my family after I deal with the first few who dares to come at me or my family.
