Lily regained contact with the world only in the camp. Or at least she thought she was in one. She didn't really know what happened after Leila's death and didn't care too much. All she remembered was the sight of the dead, bloodied woman and her cold eyes, devoid of any spark of life. This sight gave her a huge shock. Compared to that, even the roar of the battle seemed like a muffled whisper. The rest of her memories were filled with a black spot... a bottomless abyss...
"Maybe I lost consciousness again?" - Lily muttered to herself dispassionately, staring dully into the dirty shade of green characteristic of military camouflage.
She had spent such a good... Lily actually didn't know how much she had lain like that. It could have been mere minutes as well as long hours. Frankly, it didn't matter much to her or if anyone else had survived. It would have been even better if everyone had died.
