Outside Konoha Village, on a steep, desolate mountain, Kakashi and Sasuke began their training session. The location was where Kakashi had once trained Kirito in Chidori.
Kakashi climbed the cliff with one hand behind his back, his body drenched in sweat and nearing exhaustion. Just as his strength faltered, he visualized the chakra network within the human body. With renewed focus, he opened the first gate of the Eight Gates. Chakra surged through him, allowing him to pull himself to the top.
Upon reaching the top, Sasuke stood there, arms crossed. "You're late again," he remarked coldly.
Kakashi, catching his breath, squinted up at Sasuke. "You sure know how to greet your teacher."
Sasuke scoffed. "Shouldn't you be punctual for once?"
Kakashi ignored him and turned his attention to the cliff top, now filled with craters and shattered rocks. He frowned. "This place looks... different."
"Isn't this where you trained Kirito?" Sasuke asked, glancing around.
Kakashi nodded but kept his thoughts to himself. He suspected the destruction was Kirito's doing, a reminder of his former student's growing strength. "Let's get started," he said, dismissing the topic.
The breeze blew the trees on both sides of the road.
The streets were silent and spotless under the afternoon sky. Everything was so clean, tidy and in good order, even the trash cans on the roadside looked clean.
It was noon, the sun was scorching, and the small town of Tansho Street, which was considered a famous scenic spot in the Naruto world, was deserted.
The only people moving around on the street were a middle-aged man and a teenager.
He was a tall middle-aged man, wearing a forehead protector with the word "Oil" written on it. His long white hair reached his waist. There was a red mark under his eyes, extending to his chin. He was wearing a red coat with a brown shirt underneath, wooden clogs on his feet, and armor on his hands.
The boy has short blond hair, blue eyes, and six whisker-like patterns on his cheeks. He wears an orange jacket with blue shoulder pads and a white collar. The back of his clothes and his left arm are sewn with the Uzumaki clan's mark. He has a kunai bag tied to his right leg, blue ninja shoes, and a Konoha ninja forehead guard on his head.
It was after half a month of inquiring along the way that they finally found Jiraiya and Naruto here. Because Tsunade settled in Tansho Street and did not continue to wander around, they arrived here earlier than in the original work.
Jiraiya walked ahead, holding a photo of Tsunade, scanning the area. Naruto followed behind, practicing chakra control with a small ball. Suddenly, Jiraiya stopped abruptly in front of a luxurious villa, causing Naruto to bump into him and fall.
"What's wrong, Pervy Sage?" Naruto complained, rubbing his backside.
Jiraiya ignored him, his attention on the villa's gate, where a petite girl with black hair and a pet pig stood. Behind her was a young woman with golden twin tails, resembling a younger Tsunade. A sly grin spread across Jiraiya's face. "Shizune?"
The woman turned, surprised. "Lord Jiraiya?"
"It's been years, and you've grown even more beautiful," Jiraiya said. Then, noticing the younger girl, he added, "And Tsunade, still trying to look young, I see."
Shizune looked flustered, but before she could respond, Jiraiya bent down to pat the girl on the head. Before he could, a small voice said, "Mom, help! There's a bad guy here!"
Startled, Jiraiya pulled back as Shizune scooped up the girl, glaring at him. "Lord Jiraiya, please leave."
As they retreated into the villa, Jiraiya stood dumbfounded. Suddenly, the ground shook. A shadow loomed overhead before crashing into the street, sending debris flying. From the rubble emerged Tsunade, her arms crossed. "Jiraiya, what do you think you're doing?"
Jiraiya scrambled to his feet, brushing off dirt. "Tsunade? That's no way to greet an old friend!"
"And you think it's okay to scare my daughter?" Tsunade retorted.
Jiraiya froze. "Daughter?" His gaze fell to the gold ring on her left hand. "Wait... are you married?"
Naruto, climbing out of the rubble, looked equally confused. "Lady Tsunade has a kid?"
