Tsunade frowned in thought. If Kirito wasn't a member of the Uchiha clan, how could he use the Sharingan so naturally?
It was well known that transplanted Sharingan couldn't be deactivated without the original Uchiha bloodline. Kakashi was the perfect example—he could use the Sharingan but had to keep it covered to conserve chakra.
Yet, Kirito could freely activate and deactivate it, cast genjutsu, and use it as if it were his own. Didn't that mean he was, in some way, an Uchiha?
Kirito, however, remained composed and began speaking seriously, "This is a new physical technique I developed based on Observation Haki. I call it Armament Haki. It enhances a person's defense, forming an invisible armor, and it can also be used offensively."
"It has fluid properties and different usage techniques, which can be divided into 'hardening,' 'entanglement,' 'external release,' and 'internal destruction.' It requires a strong physique to wield effectively. You can't learn Observation Haki, but you can learn Armament Haki."
"With your Senju bloodline and years of training in superhuman strength, learning this technique shouldn't be difficult for you. The level you can reach depends on your own aptitude."
"That's not what I was asking." Tsunade took a deep breath, her gaze locking onto Kirito's. "What was that with your eyes just now? That was definitely the Sharingan."
Kirito nodded slightly. There was no point in hiding it from Tsunade—especially since Chinatsu might awaken it someday as well.
Tsunade's eyes narrowed. "Are you from the Uchiha clan?"
"Not exactly," Kirito replied, deciding to finally reveal the backstory he had prepared long ago. "This was a gift from Uchiha Fugaku."
Tsunade raised an eyebrow.
"On the night of the Uchiha massacre, I went to the Uchiha compound to save my best friend. That's when I met Fugaku. He was waiting for death—he didn't want to fight his own son, Uchiha Itachi."
"Fugaku had the Mangekyō Sharingan, just like Itachi. In order to save his wife and protect his youngest son, he made a deal with me."
Tsunade's eyes narrowed further. "What deal?"
Kirito continued without hesitation, "The Sharingan is called the eye that reflects the soul. When one awakens the Mangekyō, there's a chance the ability they receive aligns with their deepest desires."
"Fugaku, as the head of the Uchiha clan, failed to resolve the clan's conflict with Konoha. Deep down, he wished he weren't an Uchiha. His Mangekyō ability reflected this—it granted him the power to transfer his bloodline limit to another person."
Tsunade's eyes widened slightly. "So you're saying… he used his Mangekyō to transfer his Sharingan abilities to you?"
Kirito nodded. "Yeah. Back then, I had already defected from Konoha and had no plans of returning. I accepted his offer, thinking it would be useful as a last resort. But in the end, the Sharingan couldn't keep up with my strength, so I rarely use it."
Tsunade sighed deeply. "You… I don't even know what to say to you."
She then frowned, as if realizing something. "Wait… you didn't inherit Fugaku's Mangekyō ability, did you? The one that lets him transfer bloodlines?"
Kirito chuckled. "Nope. Everyone's Mangekyō ability is unique. My Sharingan is naturally activated, but I haven't awakened the Mangekyō yet. If I do in the future, who knows what ability I'll get? Maybe it'll be something…"
He leaned in close to Tsunade's ear and whispered something.
Tsunade's face turned crimson as she immediately pushed him away. "B-Bah! You're so shameless!"
Changing the subject, she asked, "What about Fugaku's wife, Uchiha Mikoto?"
"I found a safe place for her and my best friend," Kirito answered. "The ninja world is full of people even more dangerous than Orochimaru. I hope you'll keep this secret for me—even from Sasukae. I'll tell him when the time is right."
Tsunade clicked her tongue. "Tsk, I'm not interested in meddling with that. But now that you mention it, I do know Uchiha Mikoto. She's a real beauty… you didn't do anything to her, did you?"
A hint of suspicion flashed in Tsunade's eyes as she stared at Kirito intensely.
She knew exactly how bold he was when it came to women.
He had pursued her relentlessly when they first met. It wasn't hard to believe he might have done the same with Mikoto.
"How could I?" Kirito feigned innocence. "I would never touch a married woman. Don't accuse an innocent man."
In truth, Kirito wasn't lying.
Fugaku had officially divorced Mikoto before the massacre, making her a free woman. What he and Mikoto had now was a perfectly normal relationship between two consenting adults.
"Really?" Tsunade's suspicion only grew.
Kirito glanced at Chinatsu for support.
Chinatsu couldn't hear her father's thoughts, but based on her previous mind-reading of Sasukae and how Kirito had made Sasukae call him dad, she had an idea of what was happening.
She immediately shook her head at Kirito, silently warning him: Deny it. If you admit it, the Hokage Building won't survive today.
Kirito internally wiped the sweat off his brow. "Of course not."
"Really, really not?" Tsunade eyed him skeptically.
Kirito didn't answer and instead patted her on the shoulder. "Enough about that. I'm leaving now. Focus on training your Armament Haki. And remember, don't teach it to anyone without my permission. The same goes for Chinatsu—she's still too young. She can only learn it when her body is strong enough."
Tsunade crossed her arms and huffed. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't go messing around with other women, or you'll be in trouble."
She wasn't entirely convinced. Her instincts told her that Kirito had done something with Mikoto.
"Anything else you need to tell me?" she asked.
Kirito hesitated for a moment before deciding to share something important. "Actually, Sasukae really did intend to defect last night. I stopped him."
Tsunade's expression darkened.
"If we let Sasukae go now, there's a high chance he'd be possessed by Orochimaru's Living Corpse Reincarnation Technique," Kirito continued. "A month from now, he'll still leave for Orochimaru in pursuit of power."
"His heart is no longer in Konoha. He only cares about revenge."
"If he doesn't go to Orochimaru, the curse mark will eventually consume him, and he'll lose himself."
"My suggestion? Just let it happen. Send the same team as today, but don't go all out. Just treat it as a training exercise. You could even bring in the Sand Village as support to strengthen your alliance."
Tsunade narrowed her eyes. "No wonder that brat was so riled up when he saw you. Seems like you two have already crossed paths before."
Kirito smirked but didn't respond.
