New weapon

After two months of developing my practice method, Nares life has improved significantly because he can finally defend himself and fight those beasts with confidence. Nares used to avoid their territory and ensure he didn't attract their attention, as those beasts were far stronger than him and would have certainly killed him if he had fought them.

But now, Nares have decided to confront those beasts, not for supremacy, but to eat their flesh. The virtual panel indicated that eating their flesh would help my body grow stronger, and if Nares continued devouring the beasts' flesh, he could surpass the limitations of an ordinary human body. Nares was overjoyed to learn the benefits of devouring beasts because, while he can now convert the Primal Force into nature's vitality wherever he go, nature's vitality doesn't permanently strengthen his body. Instead, it temporarily boosts his strength by attracting elemental particles, but the effects fade when the nature's vitality runs out.

While preparing a plan to efficiently hunt these beasts, Nares noticed a fast movement 100 meters outside my cave. It was a 3-meter-tall fierce bull with golden patterns resembling tattoos on its back and a red hue on its hooves, swaggering like it was the king of this area. The virtual panel noted that this type of bull possessed immense physical strength and defense. When it used nature's vitality, it could knock down ten trees in a row. Fighting such a beast wasn't too complicated, he just needed to dodge its attacks and use long-range strikes.

Nares carefully moved closer to the bull, avoiding its attention to set up a sneak attack. When he was close enough, Nares secretly used nature's vitality to gather and manipulate a chunk of metal the size of a head. Nares compressed the metal into a cone-shaped drill, sharpening it to ensure it would penetrate the bull's body. After that, he compressed the air around it and increased the air pressure to launch the cone drill with great force. Once he was certain everything was ready, he aimed at the bull and fired. The metal drill, moving faster than the speed of sound, pierced the bull's abdomen, creating a loud, painful shriek. Though the attack only penetrated its stomach, the bull quickly noticed him, and as its abdomen bled profusely, it charged at him with great malice.

The bull's speed was impressive, so Nares enhanced his legs with nature's vitality to increase my dodging speed. As Nares dodged, he compressed the air again, inserting dozens of sharp metal fragments like small grenades. Nares fired the compressed air with the sharp metal at the bull's eye. The attack penetrated its eye and exploded, destroying its brain. The bull staggered and collapsed 20 meters away, with blood escaping from all the holes in its head.

After killing the beast, Nares dragged its carcass back to his hideout to avoid attracting other fierce beasts. The body weighed around 2,000 kilograms, and it took nearly all of the nature's vitality in his vessel to drag it back to the cave. Nares placed the carcass in the center of his cave and began removing the skin, separating the meat from the bones using the sharpest knife while enhancing the muscle strength with nature's vitality to complete the task. After five hours of butchering the bull, Nares started grilling the meat. Two hours later, the beef oil began sizzling and browning. Once the meat was cooked, he took a large bite. The taste was far superior to that of ordinary animals he had eaten.

After filling his stomach, Nares used nature's vitality to increase the rate of digestion and absorb the nutrients from the meat. Nares felt that his body becoming slightly stronger, far more than from eating ordinary animals. Once his stomach was empty, he continued devouring the rest of the meat, gradually strengthening his body. After consuming all of the meat, Nares estimated that his body had become twice as strong as before. Overjoyed by the results, he immediately began planning how to hunt more fierce beasts to continue growing stronger.

After three months of hunting and devouring beasts, his body had become strong enough to destroy a boulder with a 5-meter diameter in a single punch. With this new strength, Nares decided it was time to fight fierce beasts in close combat.

During one such battle, after killing a fierce bear, Nares stumbled upon a shining red ore embedded in the cave wall. Fascinated by its appearance, he quickly removed it. The red ore, about the size of a basketball, was ten times harder than condensed metal he make, so he decided to forge it into a sword due to its hardness.

After devouring the bear's meat, Nares built a forge and placed the red ore inside to melt. However, it was not easy to melt, so he continuously infused nature's vitality until it softened. Once it was malleable enough, he placed it on the anvil and began hammering it into the shape of a sword. The ore was incredibly tough, so Nares had to repeat the process of heating and hammering several times. After three days, Nares had finally shaped it into a sword. Nares then quenched the sword in water to cool it down and proceeded to temper it to reduce brittleness and improve its quality. After tempering, Nares spent five days sharpening both edges of the sword due to its toughness. Once he had finished sharpening, he crafted a scabbard to protect the blade from damage, rust, and the elements, while also providing a safe and convenient way to carry and draw the weapon.

The sword, glowing red like blood, was double-edged and measured one meter in length, with simple patterns engraved on its surface. Satisfied with his work, Nares decided to test it on a defensive-type fierce beast 500 meters from my cave.

This beast resembled an elephant but had thick scales all over its body. Nares had previously attempted to kill it using compressed sharp metal propelled by high air pressure, but its defense was so tough that he only managed to leave a slight mark on its scales.

Upon finding a scaled elephant that had separated from its group to forage, Nares cautiously moved closer for a sneak attack. Nares enhanced his legs with nature's vitality and dashed forward at great speed, slashing with all my might. To his surprise, the sword easily cut through the elephant's scales, slicing the beast in two. He was shocked as he hadn't even enhanced the sword with nature's vitality, yet its sharpness was far beyond his expectations.
