"Where is your daughter, woman?" Dominic asked. His expression mirrored his frustration and anger. First, it was Adam making a fool of himself in the presence of many influential people, and now, it was his daughter who had just disappeared without a trace.

"She was here this morning. She must have just stepped out for reasons unknown to us," Lily said, but the unease that she felt didn't allow her to believe that. She doubted even her own words, and it scared her.

"Tell me whether you believe that yourself," Dominic hissed as he walked past her. He could ignore it because he was a grown man, but Olivia was still a minor, a child under his care. Losing her was unimaginable.
