[Skill information locked!]
Tate was stunned by the first message. He knew the skill would be locked, but he didn't expect the skill information to be locked as well.
Damnit! He wouldn't know what the zone skill would be all about now, he really wanted to know the difference between the zone skill and the mega skill.
Tate's eyes moved to the next message which followed after the first system message.
[Host attributes are incredibly low to activate skill. Host needs to WORK HARD to improve his attributes]
Tate eyebrows raised a little seeing the system capitalized 'work hard'
Could it be that the system could read his mind? Of course the system could read his mind, and it was basically mocking him.
Tate angrily scrolled down to the next message, only to be frozen on his spot.
[To unlock skill hosts must improve these attributes to the figure below.
Agility (110)
Strength(150)
Stamina (200)
Intelligence(100)
Perspective (100)]
Tate was stupefied seeing all the attributes were on triple figures.
'What the fuck!'
This was truly ridiculous, He had no idea how he would be able to accumulate enough MA points to unlock the zone skill.
He basically gets five MA points daily, this would take several months according to his calculations.
It was somehow good when he did his calculations, but the curiosity of waiting for several months to see what the zone skill would be all about would be a heavy load in the head.
Of course he could scale through this, but how could. How COULD he put his MA points on intelligence and Perspective.
This was cheating, definitely uncalled for. The system was just messing around with him.
Imagine taking his intelligence and Perspective to 100+
If he was to add those MA points to his agility and strength, it would definitely go a long way. He would definitely be invincible.
Tate burst out in tears in his mind.
He really doesn't know if he would be able to increase his intelligence and Perspective to that amount, but he was damn curious to see what the zone skill would be all about, so he must close his eyes, and make sure he increases his intelligence and Perspective to that amount.
Tate sturdy the system message again, this would take at least four months to achieve, since he basically gets five MA points daily, unless the other way of getting MA points.
Tate's eyes widened when he remembered he had just defeated several men a while ago, and the system gave him MA points as reward.
"Show me my MA points balance!"
Tate hurriedly voiced out.
[Host has been rewarded with one martial artist point for defeating an enemy!]
[Host has been rewarded with one martial artist point for defeating an enemy!]
Tate's eyes widened in shock, he didn't quite understand what he was seeing. Does this mean he got just one MA point for defeating one opponent.
Just one!
Tate was motionless as the message came flooding in, finally the last three messages popped up.
[Host has completed an objective.
Defeat ten enemies(checked)]
[Host has been rewarded with five martial artist points for defeating ten enemies. Next reward can be claim when Host defeats twenty enemies]
[Total MA points has increased to fifteen. (15)]
Tate didn't know how to react to the system messages.
He gets five MA points for completing his daily exercises. How come he gets only one MA point for defeating somebody? He wondered whether defeating an opponent in the arena would be the same as this.
He was expecting to see something groundbreaking from the system, but all he got was just fifteen MA points.
SHIT!
Tate felt like screaming, but at the end of the day, this strange power was a blessing to him.
As long as he could grow effortlessly like this, he would definitely achieve his dream of becoming a well known martial artist.
Other martial artists take years to practice their skills and movement, he got a skill a few days ago and was able to do it flawlessly like he had been doing it for more than a decade.
Smashing Ryker with Super punch was still fresh in Tate's head.
Tate went back to the system main menu and clicked on stats.
[HOST STATS
Agility(40)
Strength(15)
Stamina (10)
Intelligence(10)
Perspective (10)]
Tate studied his stats once more. He couldn't believe with these weak stats he was able to defeat ten men without breaking a sweat.
It was pretty much easy given his agility was on the high side and most of his moves revolved around his pace.
He wondered how good he would become when he finally matched his stats to the requirements of the zone skill.
Tate's cheeks moved a little, he couldn't wait to reach that level.
He looked at his stats again. He had already carried his agility to match the requirements of Rapid Punches, now he was focusing on his strength.
"Add all MA points to strength!"
[All MA points have been added to strength.
Updating Host stats. Updated!]
[Strength—(30)]
Tate's cheeks moved seeing he had successfully taken his strength to the requirements of Rapid Punches.
'Today wasn't a bad day after all, now I will focus on my stamina!'
He needs to carry his stamina to 40+ before he would be able to unlock Rapid Punches. The distance wasn't that far now, just six days and he would be able to use it.
Tate quickly moved to the lottery sector again. It was the only unbiased place for him in the system, and he would be willing to trade his coins for lottery tickets in the future.
Tate spent one lottery ticket on the one hour jackpot, and three lottery tickets on the six hour jackpot, then he spent the remaining four tickets on the one day jackpot.
His targets was the one day jackpot. Imagine what the Jackpot would give him if he was to win, perhaps he would be rewarded with another groundbreaking skill or something really useful.
He doesn't know what he would get, but he looks forward to it.
Tate swiped all the system messages away, making his eyes clear once more.
He looked at the clouds and took a deep breath.
'I think I should go visit her.'
Tate took a cab and headed to the hospital. He opened the door to his mother's room after hesitating for what seemed like an hour.
Tate entered the room and sat down on the available chair closed to the bed.
At first the doctors said a week was all it would take for her to regain consciousness.
A week went by and the doctor said, a few weeks and she would regain consciousness. It became months, now years.
It had been three years now and Tate mom was still unconscious on the bed. Now, he was praying that she doesn't end up like those people that go on for a decade or two decades before regaining consciousness.
What if she never regained consciousness?
These thoughts were weighing Tate down and his eyes became wet.
He stayed like that for almost an hour before he stood up to his feet.
Tate turned his back against his mom. He took a deep breath before saying.
"Mom. I am sorry that I followed the same path as him, but it wouldn't be the same ending."
"Don't worry. You don't have to worry at all. I will protect Lora, and I will make you the happiest mother on earth when you finally wake up."
Tate turned to face his mother, his expression was deadpan, but determination was boldly written on his face.
He wouldn't want his mom to panic when she finally wakes up, and there was only one way to ensure that she doesn't get frightened when she hears the career path he took, and that was to become the number one.
To become the number one martial artist in the world.
"I swear. I will become the best there ever was. I promise. I promise you, mom!"
