Chapter 66: I Want to Create a World With...

When Hanma heard the familiar voice and turned his head, he was inwardly alarmed. Tsunade's face was full of sorrow, and she was trembling slightly, looking at Hanma with a mournful expression. Hanma opened his mouth weakly and began brainstorming.

"Why does this feel like being caught in an affair?"

Originally, Hanma had planned to go with Tsunade to pick up Konan, so that he could privately explain Konan's orphan status to Tsunade. However, Mito Uzumaki's arrangements disrupted Hanma's plan.

Seeing Hanma's hesitant expression, Tsunade felt even sadder.

"So I was just a latecomer?"

Tsunade kept staring at Hanma and Konan, repeatedly comparing their facial features and pondering the details.

"Wait a minute, this little girl doesn't look like Hanma at all."

"It could be she takes after the woman."

"This little girl has blue hair, so she's definitely not from the Uchiha clan, which is good."

"Who could it be? Could it be a female ninja from another village? My god!!"

Konan looked at Hanma, who seemed at a loss for words. Her face showed a sudden realization. She jogged over to Tsunade, pulling out an old photo from her pocket.

"This is my mom, and this is my dad. But one day, they went out and never came back."

The old photo showed a pretty woman with blue hair and a short-haired man with a silly smile, with Konan standing between them. Their clothes were worn out, but their smiles were beautiful.

"Brother Hanma found me in the Land of Rain. I passed out from hunger because I had nothing to eat at home and went out looking for food but fainted on the way."

Seeing the photo and hearing Konan's explanation, Tsunade's face quickly changed, eventually lighting up with a big smile.

"I am Hanma's wife, so call me Sister Tsunade from now on!"

"The past sadness is over, and happiness is ahead. Welcome to the Uchiha clan, Konan!"

Hanma, standing on the side, had no idea how to react.

"And now you're representing the Uchiha clan to welcome her. Are you planning to change your name to Uchiha Tsunade already?"

Tsunade grabbed Konan's hand, and the two began whispering and laughing with each other. The friendship between women always comes very quickly. Tsunade, in high spirits, waved her hand and resumed shopping with Konan, leaving Hanma standing alone and speechless as he watched the two of them dart in and out of shops.

When they finally finished their shopping with bags upon bags of goods, Hanma naturally took up the role of the porter.

"So, this is the final destination for Taijutsu ninjas, huh?"

Hanma cleared his throat and said to the two:

"I've prepared a house for Konan on the clan grounds. Tsunade, you can help her get settled."

Seeing Tsunade's confused look, Hanma stared at her chest and raised his eyebrows.

It wasn't that Hanma didn't want to have Konan live with him, but sometimes the noise in his home could get pretty loud and persistent, which could disturb Konan's rest.

Tsunade blushed and nodded. Hanma led the way, and the three of them walked together to Konan's new house. It was a spacious, old house that was still in good condition. The previous owner was a Uchiha with double-tomoe Sharingan who died in battle and had no heirs, so the house was left unused.

"Walk 800 meters west from here, and you'll find mine and Tsunade's home. Remember to come over and eat with us every day."

"In a few days, I'll invite some Uchiha clan members to meet you. They're very nice people, so don't worry."

Tsunade nodded and added:

"I have a little brother around your age. You two will be good friends."

Konan smiled cutely, expressing her satisfaction with her new home. Hanma took out a few scrolls and handed them to Konan.

"These are some basic ninjutsu materials. Take a look when you have time."

"In a few days, I'll take you to the clan school. You'll make many friends there."

"I've heard about Chakra too. I learned it myself when I was very young!"

Tsunade looked at Konan in surprise. To learn to gather Chakra without a teacher was impressive, even by Konoha standards. Hanma, however, had already anticipated Konan's talent. After all, although Jiraiya was their apparent mentor, Konan's ninjutsu system was self-taught and quite formidable.

Just then, there was a loud knock on the door accompanied by an equally loud inquiry.

"Is anyone living here?"

"Hello, is anyone home?"

Konan hurried to the door, surprised to have a visitor so soon. She led a boy inside, and upon seeing his face, Hanma was stunned.

"Isn't this Obito?"

Obito, seeing Hanma, excitedly rushed over, shouting,

"What?! Hanma-senpai is here! You're my idol! Can I have your autograph?!"

To Obito, Hanma was an undeniable idol. His reason was odd: Hanma never trained his Sharingan and yet had immense power. Obito, always afraid he wouldn't awaken his Sharingan, always wore goggles, claiming they were for eye protection. Hanma's existence was a powerful motivator for him, showing that one could earn the respect of the clan without relying on the Sharingan.

Seeing the young Obito, Hanma felt a bit complicated. In his previous perspective, he couldn't understand why Obito and Itachi acted as they did. However, in the ninja world, Hanma gradually realized that, given the unique circumstances, their actions were somewhat understandable.

Uchiha Obito wasn't inherently bad and was quite kind. His transformation had much to do with Madara's manipulation. Even a twelve-year-old could not withstand the schemes laid out by Indra's reincarnation. As for Uchiha Itachi, his heartlessness was partly due to Fugaku's influence. Which father would take a four-year-old to the battlefield and call it the destiny of a ninja? Which father would send his eight-year-old to join the Anbu as a double agent? No wonder Itachi turned out to be the way he was.

Obito handed Hanma a badge, proudly showing off his creation:

"Hanma-senpai, this is a badge I made. The clan members love it. Please take one!"

The badge was shaped like the Uchiha clan emblem, with Hanma's muscular back in the center and the word "loyalty" written below.

Hanma accepted it graciously, already planning his next moves for Obito. He signed Obito's clan attire and instructed,

"Her name is Konan, a new member of our clan. She's not familiar with the area, so please take good care of her."

Obito responded energetically,

"Yes, sir! I'll make sure of it!"

Konan smiled and handed Obito a paper flower, saying adorably,

"This is for you. Thank you in advance!"

Obito's face turned bright red, and Hanma watched silently, feeling a peculiar sensation.

"No way, the story won't end like that, will it?"

Konan, I want to create a world with you!

Hanma rubbed his temple, shouting in his mind,

Rin Nohara, where are you? Come and save the day!
