the pain

The morning light shone on mu xin sleeping face, forcing him to wake up, after his eyelids trembled open, he surprised to see the face on top of his head looking down at him.

"Wake up? What are you going to do today?"

Shu hua faced him with her usual gentle smile on her face as she asked.

(Why am i on her lap? Ah whatever)

He sits back up and look at the morning sun.

"Im thinking to refine my body first"

(I need some base if i want to fight, i might have qi which can make my strike more powerful but i have paper thin defense)

"Then you should eat first"

Shu hua walk toward the same tree last night and get more fruit.

(Really how she do that? The tree doesn't seem to have any fruit, don't tell me she forces the tree to bear the fruit, no way right, but this is cultivation world so it might really be true)

Mu xin shock his head at his though and decide to wash his face and drink some water first.

When he's done shu hua already waiting for him with a lot of fruit.

(Maybe i should learn how to make fire so i can cook some meat)

He sits down and start to eat few of the fruit, after he feels full he starts to refine his body again.

(My goal is finish refine all my bone, organ, and skin! After that i can start practicing flowing palm technique and fight some wild beast to gain some battle experience)

He closes his eye and focus controlling his qi all over his body, slowly his qi starting to penetrate his bone.

(I prepare for this, i can endure it)

He encourages himself to prepare for the pain that will come soon.

Soon his qi is starting to penetrate his bone and going inside is marrow little by little.

He grits his teeth, his face is paled, his body is trembling, but he didn't stop, he keeps controlling his qi to penetrate his bone, this process is lasting for thirty minute meanwhile shu hua is looking at mu xin persistence without any break, she step back and start walking to open place close by.

"If he keeps this persistence up, he could finish bone refining by the end of today, from my inheritance people usually take a break from the pain and refine their body slowly which usually take month until body refinement finish"

When she reaches the open place the tree on surrounding start pulling themselves up from the ground and using their root as leg, they start walking toward the open place.

"Since we're going to stay for a while, we will need a place to stay then"

With that's she starts working on making a house.

While shu hua busy herself, mu xin is still struggling to refine his bone.

(I'm getting used to the pain, still painful though but bearable, maybe i can force the qi to accelerate the process? It surely more painful but i really want to just get it done with)

With that though he braces himself and start to push the qi inside his bone, with that, he almost screams, his body is shaking greatly, his face is as white as paper, but the result is clear and quick, his bone color is changing to clear pure white little by little.

(I don't know what's going on but i feel like my bone somehow becoming stronger, strange there's no basis to it, i just feel it, i wish i can see my internal body so i know what's going on, or maybe i can just don't know how, i ask sister hua latter)

He's desperately having internal conversation trying to distract himself from the pain he feels.

After one hour of gruesome experience pass by, all his bone pure white color even glowing.

(I need a break)

He fell on his back lying down sweating bullet and gasping for breath.

(I feel like my bone already change, but it can still absorb my qi, and sister hua say keep refining the bone until it can't absorb more qi)

He goes to river and drink some water, he accidentally looks at his face in the reflection of water.

(I look pale, but this face kind of looks like mine back on earth just more refine, somehow i prefer my ordinary face, well maybe It's because I'm still young in this world, perhaps i grow up just like back on earth with ordinary face)

He walks back and lie down to take a break, before he realizes it he has fall asleep.

Two hour after mu xin fall asleep, shu hua come back after done with her construction, what appear is a simple wooden cottage.

Shu hua look at mu xin, she sits down put his head on her lap and checking his progress.

"He has already done with bone refinement? Even though its only been few hours, he must have pushed himself"

She picks him up in her embrace and walk toward the cottage, when she opens the door what appear was a single room with nothing but a bed and few big wooden basket.

The bed is using a lot of leaf to soften it, she's laying mu xin down on the bed as she sits down on the bedside putting her hand on mu xin chest when a light green glow appears from her palm, one can see a small stream of green is sent from her palm to mu xin body.

Shu hua is using her nature qi to ease mu xin pain after overtaxing his body, after everything is done shu hua pull back her hand.

"Most of my nature qi being absorbed by that, if only mother provide me more information about human spiritual root i would have already known what those three can do"

Shu hua look at mu xin dantian location.

"To have three of it, even my memory inheritance only mention someone who has two"

She shakes her head to stop thinking about it.
