The war wasn’t over yet, even though the clouds had cleared, and the sun had come out.

The demons had slowed down, confused by the change in the magical atmosphere around them.

But it didn’t matter. Once they realized that their target simply looked different and had different powers, they would continue on.

Demons loved war more than anything else, but years of restrictions by the Coalition had put a stop to all that.

This war had been a long time coming, Nora knew. It was not just triggered by Daniel’s transition into an Angel.

And the attack by the demons on the Cashel pack compound was not even a fraction of the war to come.

There had been so much tension in the supernatural world for so long, caused by restrictions by the Coalition.

The use of magic had been restricted, and this had resulted in the amount of magic in their universe dwindling down to almost nothing.
