Two Weeks Later

Catra’s recovery was slow, but steady.

It helped that Ryan had Daniel, who considered it his duty to use his newfound abilities to help heal Catra.

Aislinn had given them close instructions on how to care for their mate.

Sion’s magical power so close to Catra had acted like a mallet beating against a gong. So much magic had entered Catra’s system all at once that it was like her body had short circuited.

They had to treat her carefully, and they also had to make sure she wasn’t using too much magic.

After a week of being in bed, Catra was ready to start walking around, though Daniel was not happy with the idea. He was of the opinion that she needed more bedrest, but Melina, who was helping to monitor Catra, had firmly stated that Catra needed to be up and walking.

Now, two weeks after Aislinn had helped them with Catra, their mate was up and walking around slowly, using a walker.
