The grand hall was now a silent witness to the aftermath of the wedding. What had once been a scene of ceremonial grandeur was now littered with the remnants of celebration. The guests had departed, leaving behind a chaotic mix of discarded floral arrangements and half-empty glasses. The hum of chatter and clinking of glasses had faded, replaced by an eerie stillness.
Hannah and Adrian stood amidst the remnants of their wedding, each lost in their own thoughts.
Adrian's phone rang, breaking the silence. It was his father, calling to offer congratulations. "Son, congratulations on the wedding! I've booked a luxury suite for you both for tonight. I hope you have a wonderful night."
Adrian thanked his father and assured him that everything was taken care of. After the call ended, Margaret approached Adrian, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Adrian, for marrying my daughter. I feel so relieved now. Are you heading home?"
Adrian shook his head gently. "No, Aunt Margaret. We're going to a hotel tonight. My parents have booked a suite room for us. Please pack Hannah's things. My assistant will collect them."
Margaret nodded and went to prepare. Hannah, overhearing the mention of the luxury suite, was visibly upset. As they departed for the hotel, Adrian opened the car door for Hannah, but she refused to get in. She opened the other door and took her seat, visibly upset.
Upon arriving at the hotel, they were greeted warmly by the staff, who recognized Adrian as a wealthy guest. As they entered their suite, which was beautifully decorated with roses and candles, the atmosphere was charged with tension. As Adrian received a call from his friend, he took it with the intention of giving Hannah some space and easing the tension between them.
Hannah, left alone in the suite, sat on the bed and began to cry, overwhelmed by the emotional weight of her situation. The room, with its romantic decoration of roses and candles, felt like a stark contrast to her inner turmoil.
When Adrian returned from his call, he saw Hannah's distress and approached her with a mix of concern and resignation. He tried to comfort her, saying, "How long will you cry? Don't cry, Hannah."
However, Hannah's anger and frustration boiled over. She shouted, "I hate you, Adrian! I hate you! You married me because you wanted me. You betrayed our friendship and didn't care about me. I never loved you! You only cared about yourself, so you married me!"
Adrian was deeply hurt by her words but remained silent, maintaining a composed exterior. Hannah, in her frustration, grabbed Adrian's collar and demanded, "Why did you do this to me? Why did you marry me? I never loved you, and I never will!"
In her rage, she pushed a lamp and screamed, You married me just to sleep with me, didn't you? Then come and take what you want!
Adrian, though pained by her outburst, chose to respond with cold detachment. Acknowledging her provocation, he replied, "Yes, I want to sleep with you. Remove your dress."
Hannah was shocked by his words, unable to believe what she was hearing. Adrian, seeing her stunned reaction, continued with a steely gaze, "What? You're my wife now. I have every right. And you just told me to let me have you. Today is our wedding night, and I'm in the mood to celebrate. Come on, remove it."
The room fell into a tense silence, the weight of his words hanging in the air. Hannah, still processing the gravity of the situation, felt a wave of fear and anger wash over her. Adrian's demeanor was cold, almost cruel, as if he were challenging her, testing her resolve.
