Chapter 27: The Frozen Battlefield

The journey from Dwarka to Mount Kailash was swift, thanks to the Terrafugia TF-X. Rihan, Maya, Gunakar, and Arjun arrived at the base of the sacred mountain, their spirits high despite the challenges that lay ahead. The snow-capped peaks of Kailash loomed majestically against the horizon, a symbol of the trials and truths they would soon encounter.

As they approached the mountain, the air grew colder and the landscape transformed into a winter wonderland, where the serene beauty was marred by the ominous presence of monstrous beings. The sky was overcast, heavy with dark clouds that hinted at the coming storm. The ground was thick with snow, and icy winds howled around them.

From a distance, they could see a fierce battle taking place among the snow-covered rocks. A young man, no older than twenty, was fighting off a horde of creatures. He wielded a long spear with exceptional skill, his every movement precise and controlled. His figure was framed against the snowy backdrop, making him seem like a warrior from a bygone era.

The creatures attacking him were formidable. Ice golems, their bodies composed of solidified snow and ice, lumbered forward with tremendous strength. Yeti, their fur bristling with anger, swung their massive arms wildly, and smaller snow and rock monsters darted around, adding to the chaos. The young man, despite being outnumbered, held his ground with remarkable courage.

Rihan, Maya, Gunakar, and Arjun watched in awe as the young warrior fought with a grace and power that spoke of divine heritage. Rihan's eyes narrowed as he recognized the style of combat, reminiscent of the great warriors from his past life.

"We need to help him," Rihan said, his voice carrying over the howling wind. "But we have to be careful. Those creatures are relentless."

Without hesitation, Rihan and Arjun moved swiftly towards the fray. Gunakar followed, ready to assist. As they approached, Rihan spotted a massive ice golem advancing on the young man from behind, its giant hands poised to strike.

Without a moment's delay, Rihan took a running leap from the edge of a high cliff. He soared through the air, his heart pounding with a mix of exhilaration and purpose. The altitude was daunting, but Rihan's focus was unshakable. He landed squarely on the golem's head, driving his heels into the icy surface. The golem roared and staggered, its head shattering under the force of Rihan's attack.

The young warrior turned, his eyes meeting Rihan's with a mixture of surprise and recognition. There was a brief, electric moment when their gazes locked, and the young man's expression shifted from battle-weariness to astonishment.

"Dharmaraj," Rihan called out, using the name of the revered king. "We've come to assist you."

The young man nodded, a sense of relief washing over him as he saw the reinforcements. "I am Rohit," he said, confirming his modern name. "I've been fighting these beasts for days. They are relentless, but I cannot falter."

Arjun and Gunakar joined the fray, their combined efforts turning the tide of the battle. Arjun's arrows flew with deadly accuracy, striking down the monsters with a precision that left no room for error.

While Gunakar followed closely behind, his new mace—a formidable weapon crafted with advanced technology—glinting in the light. Professor Kelly had personally designed the mace to enhance Gunakar's already immense strength. As he landed, he swung the weapon with all his might, sending a rock monster flying through the air, its stony form crumbling to pieces.

Professor Kelly remained in the TF-X, monitoring the situation from above, while Maya stayed back, her face tight with concern. Though she longed to join the battle, she knew her place was to support them from a distance, keeping an eye on any potential threats.

As the battle raged, Rihan fought beside Rohit, their movements synchronizing as if they had fought together in many lifetimes. Rohit's spear struck with the precision and force of a master warrior, each thrust and parry executed with flawless technique. His skill was extraordinary, and it was clear to Rihan that this was no ordinary warrior.

With the combined might of the heroes, the monsters were pushed back. The ice golems crumbled, the yeti retreated, and the snow and rock creatures dissipated into the freezing mist. The battlefield fell silent, the only sound the howling wind and the heavy breaths of the exhausted fighters.

Rohit approached Rihan, his face lined with exhaustion but also with a hint of relief. "Thank you," he said, his voice carrying the weight of gratitude. "I feared I would not be able to hold out much longer."

Rihan clasped Rohit's shoulder. "You fought with great courage and skill. It is an honor to fight alongside you. The others are waiting for us; we should regroup and prepare for the next phase of our journey."

As the group gathered and prepared to ascend further up the mountain, the bond between them strengthened. Rohit's presence was a beacon of hope, and his prowess as a warrior was a reassuring sign that they were on the right path.

The snow continued to fall, covering the battlefield with a fresh layer of white. The cold was biting, but the warmth of their unity and the promise of their quest kept them moving forward. Mount Kailash loomed ahead, its peak still shrouded in mystery and the promise of the trials yet to come.
