Dylan cleared his throat, shifting the air into something lighter. "That was just… by the way."
Olivia let out an unplanned laugh, giving a slow nod. "Yeah, sure. You were joking." She turned, motioning toward the sofa. "Fill my glass and let's sit over there. You wanna hear my story, innit? My past is… purr."
He chuckled, poured them both a fresh drink, and followed her lead, helping her settle into the sofa. "Is innit a part of your mysterious past too?"
She shrugged, a smile playing on her lips. "My God, so many things I've thrown away. Anyway, before I start…" she waved a lazy hand across her face "Duh… I feel so fuckin' sleepy. Wonder if I'll even finish the story."
"You're drunk, not sleepy," he teased.
