Although some of the martial artists considered interrupting Lin Luoluo's enlightenment, they quickly dismissed the idea. They had already witnessed what happened to those who tried to stop her.
Time passed swiftly, and as more and more martial artists arrived, some of the more talented ones also began to experience their own moments of enlightenment.
Rumble—
Suddenly, the ground beneath them began to tremble. Lin Luoluo slowly opened her eyes, a hint of joy flickering beneath her mask.
The gains she had made here were immense! She had comprehended a new cultivation technique, a movement technique, and two ninth-rank martial techniques.
[Ninth-Rank Martial Technique: Flash Strike]. True to its name, this technique allowed her to instantly flash to her opponent's side and deliver a deadly, powerful strike. Paired with her sharp Soul Severing sword, it could end a fight in a single blow.
[Ninth-Rank Martial Technique: Thousand Swords Release]. This was another immensely powerful technique, but it came with a heavy consumption of source energy, making it a technique that couldn't be used lightly.
As the tremors intensified, cracks began to form on the walls, and the murals started to crumble.
"They're being destroyed...!"
The surrounding martial artists wore expressions of frustration and regret. Many of them had failed to comprehend anything from the murals, and now they were watching as the source of that knowledge was crumbling away.
"Watch out! The ground's collapsing!"
One martial artist shouted, and everyone quickly noticed that the ground beneath them was cracking open, as if ready to cave in.
Before anyone could react, the floor gave way, and they all began to fall.
Lin Luoluo remained calm despite the sensation of falling. Her descent slowed as though she was being supported by some invisible force. All around her, soft white and blue lights illuminated the scene, allowing her to see the new environment she was entering.
"What is this...?" Shang Pei, who had also fallen, widened his eyes in shock. His face was filled with awe.
Surrounding them were countless swords, each one embedded in the ground. Every kind of sword imaginable could be seen, their hilts protruding from the earth like silent sentinels.
"This is… the Sword Graveyard," Shang Pei said solemnly.
"Sword Graveyard?"
The other martial artists started looking around as well, observing the vast space filled with blades of all shapes and sizes.
"This sword… it's an A-rank weapon!"
One of the martial artists excitedly pulled a sword from the ground and shouted in delight.
An A-rank weapon!?
The martial artist's words sent waves of excitement through the group. They all began scanning their surroundings, each eager to find a valuable weapon among the thousands of swords.
One by one, more and more martial artists found powerful weapons, their voices brimming with joy.
"Hmph, there's more here than just these weapons," Shang Pei sneered, his gaze drifting toward a faint white glow in the distance.
Noticing it as well, the other martial artists turned their eyes toward the same spot, and without a word, began moving in that direction.
Lin Luoluo had already begun walking toward it.
"That sword is enormous," Ye Fan commented as he observed the massive blade in the distance.
The sword was over a hundred meters tall, and its blade was inscribed with countless runes. It glowed with a pure white light, as if forged from some divine material.
As Lin Luoluo got closer, she could feel the immense power radiating from the sword. The energy emanating from it was overwhelming.
Upon nearing the base of the giant sword, she noticed a stone lotus platform beneath it. Embedded within the lotus was another sword, its blade glowing with a deep crimson energy. The sword radiated a sinister aura, exuding a palpable sense of danger.
"S-rank weapon?" Ye Fan murmured, astonished.
The sword was bound by numerous chains, as though to prevent it from unleashing its full power.
"S-rank…"
Shang Pei's eyes widened in amazement as he gazed upon the crimson sword. "I warned you before. Don't try to compete with me for something like this," he said, casting a glance at Lin Luoluo before flying toward the lotus platform.
Lin Luoluo ignored his warning and continued her slow approach. She wasn't interested in the crimson sword itself but in the inscriptions on the massive white sword. For some reason, she felt that the runes held a deeper meaning, something beyond their obvious power.
Just as Shang Pei reached the platform, another martial artist leaped out from the shadows, a spear in hand, aiming for Shang Pei's back.
Shang Pei's senses immediately flared. His pupils shrank as he quickly drew his sword and blocked the spear with a loud clang.
"Zhang Junzhao, are you seeking death?" Shang Pei growled.
"Heh, treasure belongs to those who can claim it," Zhang Junzhao sneered. "Surely, you weren't planning on keeping it all for yourself, were you?"
Several more martial artists appeared, closing in on Shang Pei. Each of them was a powerful warrior, and it was clear they had no intention of letting Shang Pei take the sword uncontested.
Shang Pei's expression darkened. Every one of these newcomers was at the Martial Master level. Taking the sword for himself would be impossible now.
"Then let's settle this by strength," Shang Pei said, gripping his weapon tightly.
The other martial artists hesitated, wary of stepping forward. A fight between Martial Masters was about to begin, and no one wanted to get caught in the crossfire.
Meanwhile, Lin Luoluo found a quiet spot to sit down, her eyes fixated on the inscriptions etched into the massive sword.
She had a feeling that the true significance of the Sword Graveyard lay in those runes.
However, the characters were ancient and obscure, difficult to comprehend even with the increased clarity brought by her connection with Soul Severing.
Boom! Boom!
The Martial Masters began their battle, their powerful martial techniques shaking the earth. The force of their blows carved craters into the ground and sent shockwaves through the air.
But Lin Luoluo paid them no mind. Her focus remained on the ancient text, trying to decode its hidden meaning. Just then, a glimmer of understanding flickered in her mind. Her eyes flashed as she realized she was on the verge of grasping something profound.
