Chapter 156: Holy Sword Technique - Destiny Sword Technique

The allure of this sword was simply too overwhelming for everyone.

"I give up!"

One of the two Martial Masters couldn't endure the fight any longer. Continuing to battle would only result in severe injuries, even if he won. It wasn't worth the risk, especially with others waiting to seize the opportunity.

"Hmph," scoffed the remaining Martial Master. He was the least injured of them all and also the strongest. His gaze locked onto the sword embedded in the lotus platform. The blade was still swirling with crimson energy, looking ominous and powerful.

"Damn it…" Shang Pei muttered with a grim face. He had hoped that the two Martial Masters would wear each other down, giving the others a chance to snatch the weapon. But now that one had backed down, that hope was gone.

"I can't believe She Junba is going to claim that sword..." The injured Martial Masters also looked dismayed as She Junba approached the lotus platform.

Reaching out, he grasped the sword's hilt, and as soon as his hand touched the blade, the crimson energy surged into his body, flowing through his palm and into his entire being.

"Argh!" She Junba roared in pain, his veins bulging as the crimson energy enveloped him completely. His body shook violently under the intense power.

"What's happening!?" Shang Pei's pupils constricted as he watched in alarm. He could sense that something was wrong.

Suddenly, a tremendous force erupted from She Junba's body, his eyes glowing red. Gripping the sword tightly, he mustered all his strength and pulled.

The chains that bound the sword began to crack.

Crack, crack—

The sound of shattering echoed through the air as the chains fell apart, and the sword was finally drawn out of its confinement.

Boom!

The moment the sword was fully unsheathed, a powerful gust of energy exploded outward, shaking the surrounding area. The countless swords embedded in the ground began to tremble in response.

"Hahahaha!" She Junba laughed maniacally, feeling the immense power from the sword course through his veins. It was overwhelming, and he relished in it.

At the same time, information flowed into his mind.

"The King of Swords, the Crimson Blood Sword!" She Junba whispered to himself. The sword was crafted by a legendary swordsmith, and paired with the powerful sword techniques recorded here, it could unleash its full potential.

As he reveled in his newfound power, She Junba glanced toward the glowing giant sword. To his surprise, the once brilliant white light surrounding it had begun to fade. The last of the light detached from the sword and flew toward Lin Luoluo, who had absorbed it completely.

The sword's inheritance had been claimed!

"You dare…!" She Junba growled, his eyes narrowing at Lin Luoluo.

Lin Luoluo remained seated with her eyes closed, rapidly assimilating the sword technique's knowledge.

"What did she receive? Did she just inherit the sword's legacy?" Shang Pei stared at Lin Luoluo in astonishment.

Furious, She Junba charged toward Lin Luoluo, gripping the Crimson Blood Sword, ready to strike her down where she sat.

Clang!

But in an instant, Soul Severing Sword shot into the air, blocking She Junba's strike. The impact forced She Junba back a few steps.

"What the—?" She Junba's eyes widened as he took in the sight of the floating sword.

Hovering mid-air, the sword's tip pointed directly at him.

"What kind of sword is this?" She Junba muttered in confusion.

At that moment, Lin Luoluo slowly opened her eyes. Rising to her feet, she reached out and took hold of Soul Severing Sword.

"Thank you, Soul Severing," she said softly, acknowledging the sword's protection. Her gaze then shifted toward She Junba.

"You've obtained the sword's inheritance, haven't you?" She Junba sneered, pointing the Crimson Blood Sword at her. The surge of energy from the sword still coursed through him, making him feel invincible.

"Yes," Lin Luoluo answered calmly. She had not only inherited the sword's technique but also absorbed the immense energy contained within the giant sword.

In that moment, Lin Luoluo had broken through to the ninth rank.

The sword technique she had learned, Destiny Sword Technique, was once wielded by a Sword Saint—a technique so powerful that only those destined could comprehend it.

"You probably won't reveal what you've learned," She Junba said, his expression twisting with malice. "But the world can't have anyone else who knows that sword technique!"

Fueled by greed and rage, She Junba charged at Lin Luoluo again, determined to kill her.

"She's done for," muttered the onlookers. Though Lin Luoluo had defeated ninth-rank martial artists before, She Junba was a Martial Master—a level far beyond her previous opponents. There was no way she could stand against him.

Yet, Lin Luoluo didn't move to dodge. Instead, she raised Soul Severing Sword and met his attack head-on.

Clang!

The clash of their weapons sent shockwaves through the air, creating a gust of wind that swept across the battlefield.

"She blocked She Junba's attack!?" Shang Pei exclaimed in disbelief. He knew the power behind She Junba's strike—it was enough to challenge even Martial Masters, yet Lin Luoluo, who should have only been an eighth-rank martial artist, had withstood it.

What had changed?
