Chapter 211: Azure Dragon Kingdom, Blue Moon City

The Azure Dragon Empire was a vast kingdom.

To the north of the empire stood a massive city governed by a marquis named Ye Liechang.

"Ye Liechang, a Martial King peak-level warrior, rules over Blue Moon City."

Three days passed quickly as Bai Li Changqing traveled swiftly, finally arriving at the gates of Blue Moon City.

The city sprawled over a vast area, and upon closer inspection, Bai Li noticed the well-equipped guards stationed at the gate.

Warriors passed in and out in great numbers.

The guards seemed fairly relaxed, and with his conical hat concealing his face, Bai Li Changqing easily entered the city.

He soon found himself in a tavern, enjoying a plate of peanuts and sipping on some wine.

"Speaking of the female Martial Saint Lin Luoluo, she wielded a demonic sword and stormed the capital of the Dragon Empire."

"A Martial Saint of the Dragon Empire tried to stop her, but was cut down with a single strike!"

In the tavern, a storyteller with a folding fan in hand was recounting tales to the patrons.

The warriors seated nearby were savoring their food and drinks, listening intently to the story.

"A female Martial Saint?"

"I'd like to see that for myself."

Bai Li Changqing didn't know whether the storyteller's tale was true or not, but if there was indeed a female Martial Saint, he was interested in meeting her.

Powerful female warriors were rare in this world.

"Old man, did she die or not?" one of the warriors couldn't help but ask as the storyteller reached the end of his tale.

"Yeah, is she dead? And what happened to the demonic sword?" another chimed in.

"I don't know for sure," the storyteller shrugged with a helpless smile. "But since her body was never found, it's likely she's still alive."

"You're saying that sword can absorb blood?"

Sitting nearby, Bai Li Changqing, seemingly deep in thought, spoke up quietly.

"Of course," the storyteller replied. "That sword is pure evil."

"I heard that Lin Luoluo killed many warriors with that sword, using it to absorb their essence blood and increase her power."

The storyteller shot a glance at Bai Li Changqing before continuing to fan himself.

Hearing this, Bai Li Changqing's eyes narrowed.

His gaze shifted to the Sword of Annihilation, resting on the table in front of him.

Could it be that this sword is the same demonic sword?

The more Bai Li thought about it, the more the sword's characteristics seemed to match the storyteller's description.

Over the past three days, as he traveled and killed the beasts that crossed his path, Bai Li had discovered that the Sword of Annihilation could absorb the blood of those it killed.

Not only that, but it could also absorb the remaining energy from the beasts and transfer a portion of it back to him.

This realization had greatly surprised him.

"Hey, brother."

Just then, several men approached and sat down next to Bai Li Changqing.

Wearing a conical hat and a black cloak, Bai Li radiated an air of mystery.

"What do you want?"

Bai Li took a sip of wine, placing his cup back on the table.

The men glanced at him briefly before fixing their gaze on the Sword of Annihilation lying on the table.

Though the sword was sheathed, the scabbard was visibly damaged, with faint cracks along its surface.

Occasional wisps of killing intent and sharp energy leaked from the scabbard, faint but noticeable to anyone who got close.

"That sword of yours doesn't seem ordinary," one of the men remarked, staring at the weapon without any attempt to hide his interest.

"Is that so?"

Bai Li Changqing smiled faintly as he looked at them.

His calm demeanor made the men uneasy.

"Can you lend it to us for a closer look?" the man who had spoken earlier asked, unable to suppress his curiosity.

"No."

Before the man could finish speaking, Bai Li Changqing shook his head.

"A sword is like a lover. Would you let someone else touch your lover?"

Bai Li smiled slightly.

"Ridiculous!" Ye Fan cursed internally. I'm a male sword, you fool!

The men's expressions darkened at Bai Li Changqing's response.

"Could it be that your sword is the infamous demonic sword?" the man's voice grew louder, drawing attention from the nearby patrons.

At his words, many heads turned, and more eyes were drawn to the Sword of Annihilation resting on the table.

Especially now that people were wondering if this could be the legendary demonic sword.

"The demonic sword supposedly has a special pattern, like the Flower of the Other Shore, engraved on its blade."

"Just unsheathe it, and we'll know."

The surrounding warriors began to laugh, their interest piqued.

Most of them were speaking casually, not really believing the sword was the infamous demonic weapon.

After all, while the Dragon Empire had indeed fallen, the truth about the demonic sword remained uncertain.

Perhaps it was simply Lin Luoluo's unmatched strength that had caused the empire's downfall.

"Are you afraid to show us?" the man sitting across from Bai Li Changqing taunted.

"I'm not afraid."

Bai Li Changqing's lips curled into a smile.

Hearing his response, the men grew increasingly irritated.

"Enough of this nonsense. Just draw the sword, and we'll see for ourselves."

Suddenly, one of the warriors lunged from the side, reaching for the sword on the table.

Whoosh—

In an instant, Bai Li Changqing moved, snatching the sword away before the man could lay a finger on it.

Damn him.

The warrior's expression darkened, his embarrassment clear for all to see.

"Do you want to die?"

Bai Li Changqing's voice was calm but carried a chilling edge.

Though his expression remained unchanged, his eyes gleamed with a cold, murderous intent.

The men felt an overwhelming sense of dread wash over them.

It was as if they had fallen into an icy abyss.

"You dare threaten me?" the warrior, now angered and humiliated, snarled.

"What's the matter with you? Is your sword so special that you can't even show it to us?" he continued.

"It's not about whether the sword can be shown," Bai Li Changqing said evenly. "The problem is that someone like you isn't qualified to see it."

He paused, then added with a cold smile, "If you insist on seeing it, that will be the last thing you ever do."
