ch6-Floor 0 The Tutorial

And so the last month of rest came and went. Oliver and the girls spend most of their time together. Over the years they had truly formed a close bond. Especially Oliver and Analivia, although he liked spending time with the others Oliver spend the most one on one time with her.

Over the years he started seeing her differently, from his caring maid, to a truly loving, caring and beautiful young woman. It wasn't like he could try anything though, since he had mostly been underage. But that didn't prevent him from physically getting closer, and flirting with her any chance he got.

Still, even if he had the chance he wouldn't take it to go any further, at the moment they didn't have time for such antics, maybe once they were well established in the tower could they have a relationship, but now was out of the question.

Now sitting again at that same familiar coffee table, all of them, excluding Oliver had a nervous look on their face. There was one stark difference from a month ago though, that is their outfits, all of them whore sporty clothes with sturdy shoes.

A decent size backpack was on their backs with basically everything they could need to survive. From basic survival gear, to clothes that fit the enviorment, and custom mad weapons for each of them.

The tutorial didn't prohibit anything from coming in the floor 0, as long as it was considered a clothing item, accessory or something of that kind. In fact it didn't matter how you looked or what you had on, even if you were naked, you will be summoned as is.

"Okey girls, you don't have to be so nervous, it is going to be difficult. But each and every one of you is a thousand times more trained and prepared than even the best earthling being summoned. And about 60 percent of them survive, so your survival at the verry least is guaranteed."

Oliver tried to calm them down, but it was clear that it wasn't working, so he quickly tossed that idea away and started talking about the actual summoning. Information the girls had long since known, but what harm was there in a little reminder.

"Right, as all of you know the tutorial group you will be in is random, meaning that the chances of us meeting before the end of floor 0 is almost nothing. The summon time is linked to location though, so make sure to stand as close together to make sure we are summoned at the same time.

Time flows different in the world of the tower and here. Were we are standing will be ground zero, meaning that we will be the first earthlings to go to the tower world. But even someone that is summoned hours after us could appear years if not decades after us in the tower."

All girls nodded, there nerves seemingly slightly eased.

"You all know your plans inside and out. Hell I probably know them by the letter for how many times I've tested you. So don't worry and do your best. This is a chance to truly solidify your future, so grab that chance as hard as you can."

After giving the girls a couple of minutes to breath Oliver peeked at his watch. The only thing that could be seen was a timer with 30 seconds left on the clock.

"Alright move in girls."

Oliver motioned them to huddle, getting as close together as possible to prevent any mishaps, many things were racing through his mind when …

Pfffff

Before he could even realize what was happening a firm breeze shook him awake. Only then did he realize the shoulders he was holding disappeared, and the huffy living room was replaced by a grand field.

Mffff

Taking a big lung full of fresh air Oliver couldn't help but have a wide smile plastered all over his face. He had faced countless hardships in the tower, but at the end of the day … it was home.

'I'm truly crazy, but it's good to be back.'

Almost as fast as he was brought into this blissful state he was ripped out of it by cries, yells and general chaos all around him.

"what the hell, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS"

"MOMMMMMY"

"hey you there, no you, a what the fuck where are we."

"how the hell, I was just home and"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

Elderly, children, babies, no one was spared, a woman was even summoned completely naked, she screamed frantically as she pulled the jacket of a nearby businessman.

The chaos continued, as Oliver was the only one who kept completely still, not arousing suspicion as he avoided gazes, and slipped into the background. Which wasn't difficult with 99 bumbling morons running around.

He was just waiting, on the starting message to finally appear.

[Welcome, challenges of earth. You are currently located on floor 0, better known as the tutorial floor. Clear this floor to further clime the tower. I wish you luck, because luck, … will indeed be needed.]

[Please select your difficulty:]

Basic

Low

Medium

High

Very High

Extreme

Oliver barely glanced at the choices before choosing Extreme, what would all that preparation be for if he didn't at the verry least try to reach the top. Yet another list of items appeared once he did so.

These were the so called missions you could choose from, most of these were rather simple, that was for lower level difficulties the case in the very least.

Most were, gather xxx, kill xxx amount of xxx, etc. Oliver had completed a Medium grade mission in his previous life, requiring him to kill 500 normal monsters, which honestly sounded like a joke looking at the amount of work he had in front of him right now.

[choose your mission]

-Kill the Monster leader [Wolf King]

-Unite the kingdom Save the Kingdom [less than 10% mortality rate]

-Steal the Grand Orb

-Steal the Empowerment Plasma

-Steal the Elemental Stones

Each and every item sounded exhausting. The first 3 could at the very least still be understood by normal challengers. But there was not a chance in hell anyone just summoned could steal those last 3, most even top players would probably never even find out what they were.
