“All you ever care about is Stella!” I continued to yell so loudly that I could practically hear my voice ringing in my ears. “You always do this! You always choose her over me, you always put her feelings above mine.” 

I watched as a smirk tugged at Stella’s lips as she watched me argue with my husband over her. Blake walked to her side, wrapping his arm around her as she curled her fingers around his arm with a pitiful look.

“Stop yelling, you are scaring Stella. Why can’t you be more understanding and stop being so self-centered? Not everything is about you!”

The last thing she remembered was her running out into the pouring rain and the next thing she knew, she was asking a stranger to marry her. That stranger was Xavier Wilder, the billionaire CEO of one of the most successful companies in the country. The moment the words left his lips, her face fell within the next second and she felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach.

"...What…?" She mumbled under her breath, disbelief was written all over her face as she looked at him, emotions running wild in her dark brown eyes. She leaned forward, their faces now only inches apart as she grabbed onto his shoulder. Her fingernails dug into his skin as she shook him vigorously, unable to control her emotions and forgetting that he was just out of surgery. "Why are you asking about Aurelia? I'm your girlfriend!" She shouted angrily as she gritted her teeth and her heart was thumping loudly against her chest.

Without wasting another second, his arms reached up to push her hands off his shoulders with a frown etched between his brows as his features contorted into a pained expression.
