I watched as a smirk tugged at Stella’s lips as she watched me argue with my husband over her. Blake walked to her side, wrapping his arm around her as she curled her fingers around his arm with a pitiful look.

“Stop yelling, you are scaring Stella. Why can’t you be more understanding and stop being so self-centered? Not everything is about you!”

The last thing she remembered was her running out into the pouring rain and the next thing she knew, she was asking a stranger to marry her. That stranger was Xavier Wilder, the billionaire CEO of one of the most successful companies in the country. I could see the exact moment as Stella's heart sank to the pit of her stomach while everyone remained oblivious to my obvious jab at her, as they only watched with anticipation swirling in the depths of their eyes, waiting for an answer.

Blake and Stella's eyes both widened, almost as if they were going to pop out of their eye sockets. Shock and surprise flashed past their eyes for a fleeting moment, clearly taken aback by my sudden question. I watched with great satisfaction as her face fell and the colour drained from her face, leaving her pale.

She blinked a couple of times, her mind still struggling to comprehend the situation as she stuttered, unable to find the right words to say. "I… I…"
