Chapter 18. First Blood

"Let's play a game. If you win, I'll let you go. How about that?"

"What?! Are you mocking me? I'm Kingpin's man, you—" Bullseye barely started before being interrupted.

"Shhh!"

Another wind blade whooshed by, tearing the fabric on Bullseye's right shoulder.

"I don't care who your boss is. One more word, and you're going straight to hell."

"Fine! Tell me what the game is," Bullseye surrendered, realizing that resisting would give him no chance of survival.

Noah asked Lissandra for the time, learning it was 11:43 PM. He decided to play around with Bullseye a bit before dealing with him after midnight when his tasks reset.

"You're pretty skilled at throwing things, right? That's the game. You'll throw your little trinkets at me. If you hit me, you win," Noah said, then added, "And as an apology for scaring you, I'll play with my eyes closed."

He covered his eyes with one hand, further enraging Bullseye, who took it as an insult. In a fit of rage, Bullseye started throwing everything he could get his hands on: not just weapons, but stones and debris, trying any way possible to hit Noah.

"Lissandra, calculate the trajectories of all incoming objects," Noah said, keeping his eyes closed. Now, Lissandra displayed all the incoming projectiles on his visor.

"Got it, Noah."

Bullseye hurled his projectiles furiously, but Noah unsheathed his plasma blade and began deflecting every object with precision. Despite the speed and accuracy of Bullseye's throws, none managed to land on Noah. Every attack was deflected, flying harmlessly to the sides.

"Shhhhhh!" The sound of the sword slicing through the air echoed.

To an outside observer, it seemed like Noah was moving so quickly that his actions were almost imperceptible. Daredevil, watching all of this, was deeply impressed. He realized he was witnessing a true master in action.

"Out of throwing weapons already?" Noah stopped, lowering his sword as he glanced at Bullseye.

Bullseye was panting heavily, leaning on his knees. His hands trembled from exertion, having exhausted all of his weapons and even improvised items.

"Looks like you lost," Noah noted, checking his watch, ready to end the game.

Realizing his fate, Bullseye raised his fists into a defensive stance, preparing for one last fight. But his enemy vanished from view and struck him in the neck before he could react. Bullseye collapsed, unconscious.

Noah sheathed his sword, surveying his "achievement." There were only a few minutes left before midnight.

"Yasuo, your skill is truly remarkable," Daredevil approached him. Bullseye had always been a tough opponent for him, but now, in the hands of his ally, he was defeated with ease.

"Not bad, Daredevil. You're no slouch either," Noah replied, turning toward him. "How did you run into Bullseye tonight?"

"I started an investigation into Kingpin and his crew. Bullseye was my first target, but I didn't expect him to be this strong. Tonight, I nearly lost," Daredevil explained. After Noah informed him of Kingpin's involvement, Daredevil began gathering intel on Kingpin's forces, planning to dismantle his empire. After tracking Bullseye's location, he decided to act tonight.

"Kingpin, huh? He's quite powerful, isn't he?" Noah said thoughtfully.

"Yeah, Kingpin controls most of the criminal underworld in America. You could call him the emperor of the underground. But, despite his power, I'm confident I can bring him down," Daredevil said, clenching his fists.

"Good. I believe in you," Noah patted his shoulder before asking Lissandra to provide a temporary contact number.

"Daredevil, here's my number. If you plan on making a move against Kingpin, call me, and I'll help."

"Kingpin is a notorious villain in the Marvel universe, right? There's a good chance the system will issue a mission at least at B-level," Noah thought, giving Daredevil a number that would connect him directly to Lissandra.

"Thanks, Yasuo," Daredevil responded, grateful to have an ally in his fight for justice.

"So, what are we going to do with this guy?" Noah glanced at his watch. It was past midnight, and his daily tasks had updated. He opened the mission system.

[Mission C-level: XXX]

[Mission C-level: Punish local XXX]

[Mission B-level: Eliminate the enemy fighting Daredevil]

"Great, the mission is already here. No need to go anywhere," Noah thought, accepting the task. The marker pointed at the unconscious Bullseye lying on the ground.

"We can hand this guy over to the NYPD. Let the law deal with him," Daredevil suggested. As a lawyer, he preferred to follow the law and avoid unnecessary killing.

"Daredevil, are you serious? This guy works for Kingpin. The moment you turn him in, he'll be released. Besides, he doesn't deserve any mercy. Lissandra, check this man's record," Noah had no sympathy for criminals, especially Kingpin's underlings. Lissandra displayed a hologram showcasing Bullseye's numerous crimes.

"Look, Daredevil," Noah showed him a 3D projection of Bullseye's countless atrocities. Seeing this, Daredevil felt a surge of anger and sighed heavily.

"Yasuo, you're right. Do it," Daredevil agreed. He understood that if Bullseye continued his crimes, new victims would fall, and the responsibility for their lives would weigh on his conscience.

"Leave it to me," Noah unsheathed his plasma sword, ready to swiftly and painlessly deal with Bullseye.

Shing!

The blade flashed, and before Daredevil could even process what happened, Noah had already sheathed his sword. A thin red line appeared on Bullseye's neck, and within seconds, his head separated from his body.
