After Katherine was done spewing her bullcrap and Keturah's exaggerated crying, Keturah excused herself to go to the bathroom. She had to get herself together.
Now Keturah stood outside Katherine's office again but this time willingly, her eyes were dry and her heart was racing with anticipation. The bug was burning a hole in her pocket. It felt like she was carrying a huge rock. The mission seemed simple enough, but Keturah's doubts lingered.
Taking a deep breath, she went into the office. Keturah was welcomed by Katherine, who exuded her characteristic warmth.
"Hey, sweetie! Come on in. I'm glad you're alright. I know it was a lot to take in"
Keturah forced a smile, her eyes scanning the room for potential hiding spots.
"So, Keturah, I've been thinking," Katherine began, leaning against her desk. She had already been brainstorming ways to destroy Maria for a long time, so when a dark scheme emerged out of nowhere, it did not surprise her.
