THIRD POV

Athena was helpless. For the first time in years she had felt completely destroyed, the love and pain a mother felt when worried for her kids, a pain indescribable. Her strength had been far removed from her since her mothers death. She didn't know how she would ever be able to protect her again.

The horror that awaited her in the bedroom , was far worse than anything she had encountered since the death of her mother. The cruelty and brutality was staggering, and she had never known it to reach this low.

She cried, loud and long.

On the ground was her sister Selene, bleeding profusely she had been beaten up really bad. She rushed to feel her pulse. Then she noticed, her daughter was nowhere to be found. Her body sprawled on the floor covered in her own blood.

You can't save a life by giving it away.

She had never really experienced anything like this before.

You can't save a life by giving it away.

She was losing everything all over again.
