"How was your sleep, Elie?"
The sound of birds singing was the sign that the sun had risen. The plants in the Imperial Garden had been watered by the servants who were picking flowers in the garden to decorate the palace. A girl who had just woken up approached the servants. They were still busy arranging the stems in the vase.
"I slept well, Madam Yuvewa." The girl beside her replied with a smile.
As soon as she had received the answer, Yuvewa joined in watching the servants who were busy with their own work. She noticed that Elie's face looked tired and that she seemed to feel uneasy. Elie also fiddled with her fingers as the sight of winter flowers became a typical sight for her.
Swish-
Elie stopped in her place when she felt a thick cloth draped over her shoulders. The girl was still in her pajamas and only had a thin cloth on her shoulders.
"Why did you come out with only a thin cloth, Elie?" Yuvewa said, putting her shawl on Elie's shoulders.
