 I let out a sigh of relief immediately after the pack house came into my line of sight. I could already perceive my mate's sweet scent. It was mixed with something sweet. 


 I came out of the car as soon as one of the pack guards opened the door. Rose walked up to me with a smile on her face. 


 “I missed you,” she whispered as I enveloped her in a hug whilst sniffing her hair as though my life depended on it. I know I was only away for a day but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss her. 


 “I missed you too. I couldn't wait for those grumpy Alphas to finish with their bickering so I could come back home to my beautiful mate,” I said and kissed her forehead to which she blushed. 


 “Come on in, I have a surprise for you,” she said and led me into the house. It was quite cute seeing her little hands try to drag my huge ones with her but I had no choice but to follow. She was my better half after all.
