Eight years ago, a devastating war erupted between two powerful nations. The reasons behind this catastrophic conflict remained unclear, though many speculated that territorial expansion was a major factor. The war raged on with neither side gaining a clear victory, earning it the name "War of the Tides." The aftermath was grim, resulting in a drastic reduction of the population in the affected countries.



Among the millions affected was fifteen-year-old Dan Lionheart, who grew up in the war-torn region of Tufesti. As a child, Dan lacked the privileges that many others took for granted. The war stripped him of everything: his father, whose face he struggled to remember, and, a few years after the war ended, his mother went missing as well. Dan turned to his mother’s research for solace and became deeply immersed in it. Driven by the dream of finding his mother and joining the ranks of the most formidable military force of his timecalled Guardians, Dan sets out on a journey that will eventually change his perception of the world.
