Marine Headquarters, Marineford
The meeting room was tense as Sengoku presided over the Marine session. The weight of the New World loomed heavily over the gathered officers.
"Marshal, urgent news from the New World," Adjutant Stucky announced as he entered the room, a fresh report in his hand.
Sengoku frowned, his patience already thin. "What is it, Stucky? We're in the middle of something important."
Stucky hesitated, stealing a glance at Garp before continuing. "Marshal, it's about Master Finn."
Sengoku's stern expression softened slightly. He had made it clear that any news about Finn was to be brought to him immediately. "Go on," he urged.
Adjutant Stucky took a breath and spoke quickly, "The intelligence from New World reports that Master Finn arrived at Charlotte Linlin's territory over ten days ago."
"What?!" Garp leaped from his seat, his voice a mix of anger and concern. "That fool went straight into Big Mom's territory?!" Though Finn had proven his strength by defeating Hawkeye, the Four Emperors Pirates were a different beast entirely. He wasn't facing a lone swordsman; he was challenging a full-scale empire. "Has he lost his mind?"
"Calm down, Garp. Let's hear the full story," Vice Admiral Tsuru said, pulling Garp back into his seat. She gestured for Stucky to continue.
"Yes, ma'am," Stucky nodded. "According to the report, Master Finn infiltrated Cake Island alone, without his super battleship."
Sengoku's eyes narrowed. "What happened to the ship?"
"No one spotted it, Marshal," Stucky explained. "However, Finn was seen fighting his way through many of Big Mom's men before strolling into her tea party."
The room gasped collectively, the sheer audacity of the act sinking in.
"He fought his way in... and then just attended her tea party?" Zephyr asked, incredulous. He had grown fond of Finn after the young man helped him with his mechanical body's side effects, but even he couldn't believe this.
"Yes, sir," Stucky confirmed. "Not only that, but he stole Charlotte Linlin's celebration cake, triggering one of her food rampages. She went berserk and even killed some of her own children."
There was a collective intake of breath.
"That... is suicidal," murmured one of the officers.
Garp slammed his fist on the table, his face a mix of pride and frustration. "That little b*****d… did he make it out alive?"
"Yes, Vice Admiral Garp," Stucky answered. "After causing the chaos, he left calmly, without injury."
Vice Admiral Tsuru raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "He fought Big Mom's crew and left unscathed? That seems... unlikely. Did he encounter any of her commanders?"
Stucky nodded. "Yes. He defeated Charlotte Cracker with a single strike and clashed with Katakuri, exchanging only two blows before forcing Katakuri to retreat."
Murmurs rippled through the room. Cracker defeated in one move? Katakuri, one of the most feared fighters in the New World, bested in just two?
"Is there any proof?" Sengoku demanded. "This is too far-fetched."
Stucky quickly projected an article from the World Economic News. The headline flashed across the screen, accompanied by a grainy image.
"Standing on a fairy sword, like a banished deity descending upon the battlefield," the article read. "Peerless elegance. Women faint from his beauty, and the battle is a dance of perfection."
Sengoku, baffled by the poetic description, grabbed Stucky by the collar. "Are you telling me this romanticized drivel is about Finn?"
"Yes, Marshal," Stucky said, visibly sweating. "It's confirmed. Morgans reported it."
"Show me a photo!" Sengoku barked.
Stucky quickly pulled out a folder and projected an image. The blurry figure standing atop the cake castle was barely recognizable, but the stance and sword were unmistakable.
Kizaru squinted at the projection. "Wait a minute... that's the same young swordsman I met at Marineford!" He stood up, pointing at the screen. "But... that was Finn?"
Sengoku frowned. "How do we know it's Finn and not someone pretending to be him?"
"Marshal," Stucky replied, "when leaving Cake Island, Katakuri confronted the man. The sword wielder introduced himself as Finn, commander of the Marine Independent Battalion."
Sengoku snorted. "That's it? Just because he said he's Finn, we're supposed to believe it?"
Vice Admiral Tsuru nodded thoughtfully. "It's too convenient. This could be the Sword Immortal trying to frame Finn, causing more trouble for him."
Garp, stroking his chin, looked thoughtful. "Then again, it could be him. He has a habit of pulling stunts like this."
"There's more," Stucky added. "According to the report, Finn also kidnapped four of Big Mom's daughters before leaving."
"WHAT?!" The room exploded with disbelief.
"If that's true, then there's no doubt," Garp said, shaking his head. "That's definitely Finn. Only that troublemaker would do something so reckless."
Sengoku grumbled, his face flushed with frustration. "Fine. We'll call it Finn. Damn kid is always causing problems."
"But wasn't it you, Sengoku," Vice Admiral Tsuru teased, "who was just complaining about him causing chaos with the Shichibukai? And now you're proud of him?"
Sengoku, embarrassed, huffed. "Well... If I'd known he could take down the Four Emperors, I wouldn't have complained. He's stronger than we thought."
He quickly turned to Stucky. "Send a message to Momousagi. She's still in the New World. Tell her to keep an eye on Finn and make sure he doesn't push his luck too far. We don't need him starting another war."
"Yes, Marshal!" Stucky saluted, hurrying off to carry out the order.
Garp grinned, watching Sengoku's flustered expression. "You've raised a good grandson, Garp," Sengoku muttered.
Garp's grin widened. "And he's just getting started."
