Listening to Finn's question, Doflamingo felt as if he'd been slapped across the face.
What the hell! Why didn't you use that awesome Conqueror's Haki earlier? Why wait until I'm already pretending to be angry to bring it out and hit me with it?
Is this some kind of joke?
Trying to save face, Doflamingo quickly changed the subject. "Alright, Finn, enough with the games. Let's get to your business."
Finn tilted his head slightly and raised an eyebrow. "This young master intends to liberate the Marines from the World Government's control, then turn around and deal with the Celestial Dragons. What do you think of this plan?"
Doflamingo froze for a moment before bursting into laughter. "Fufurfur! Finn, you're usually a smart guy, but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard."
"Do you really think the Marines can survive without the World Government? Should I start analyzing their massive military expenditures for you?" Doflamingo mocked.
Finn, unfazed, replied coolly, "What if I could offer you control over this golden empire?"
"Control over this empire?!" Doflamingo's eyes widened, his gaze shifting to Finn, filled with disbelief. Slowly, it dawned on him. "Wait… You're suggesting I use Tesoro's wealth to fund the Marines?"
"Heh, looks like you're not as dumb as you seem," Finn said with a grin.
Doflamingo immediately shook his head. "Impossible! Finn, let's put military expenditures aside. You can't just free the Marines from the World Government, it's not something you can achieve!"
"What if I can?" Finn's gaze was intense as he stared into Doflamingo's eyes.
Doflamingo's pupils narrowed. The seriousness in Finn's eyes was unmistakable. His heart skipped a beat.
Is he serious?
Doflamingo thought carefully. Finn had always been unpredictable and reckless. If he could kill a Celestial Dragon without hesitation, it seemed like he could really go against the World Government.
Doflamingo's realization hit him like a bolt of lightning.
Could Finn really overthrow the Celestial Dragons?
As a former Draconian himself, Doflamingo had a deep-seated hatred for the Celestial Dragons who had turned him away from the Holy Land. If Finn could overthrow them, Doflamingo would relish the chance to step on their faces and ask if they had any regrets.
"Finn, I don't get it. If you want military funding, why not go straight to Tesoro? Why come to me?" Doflamingo asked, still confused.
Finn chuckled. "I did go to find Tesoro, but who would've thought I'd run into an old acquaintance here?" Finn shrugged, giving a lighthearted smile.
Doflamingo's anger flared up. Old acquaintance? What the hell is he talking about? I know him like I know a ghost!
His family's cadres are still rotting in the deep-sea prison—because of Finn!
But Doflamingo wasn't an idiot. He realized that if he could build a good relationship with Finn, and Finn could gain control of the Marines…
His cadres might finally be freed.
And more importantly, Doflamingo had his own reasons for wanting to overthrow the Celestial Dragons.
Suppressing his fury, he asked, "Even so, you still have no reason to come to me."
Finn stepped forward and patted Doflamingo's shoulder. "Oh, but I do have a reason. It's very simple."
"What reason?" Doflamingo frowned, not understanding.
Finn smiled. "Because you're smarter than Tesoro. If you control this empire, I can trust you to manage things here while I handle the Marines."
Doflamingo let out a laugh. "Fufurfur. Finn, are you a little overconfident?"
Finn didn't miss a beat. "Yes, I'm confident in my strength. And I'm also confident in your intellect. Unlike Tesoro, you know what I'm capable of. If I wanted to kill you, you wouldn't survive the next second."
Finn's palm rested on Doflamingo's shoulder as he spoke, a quiet threat hanging in the air.
Cold sweat broke out on Doflamingo's forehead. Finn wasn't exaggerating. With his power, he could kill Doflamingo without a second thought.
Doflamingo, understanding the weight of Finn's words, quickly thought it through. After a brief moment of silence, he gritted his teeth.
"I can help you, but I need my family's cadres freed first."
Finn smirked. "Still asking for conditions?"
Doflamingo's gaze was firm. "Yes. Those men are my family. You want my help? You'll give me that first."
Finn chuckled. "Fine. Those men are useless to me. Once we've handled this matter, you and I will go to the deep-sea prison."
"The deep-sea prison?" Doflamingo was taken aback. "What am I supposed to do there?"
Finn raised an eyebrow. "How else would you get your cadres back? Do you think I can just call up Sengoku and ask him to release them?"
Doflamingo hesitated, then nodded, seeing the logic. "True. It makes sense."
"Well, I think that's settled, then," Finn said, still smiling.
At that moment, a voice echoed through the room, dripping with sarcasm. "Haha! You two really think you can plot against me in my own territory? You don't think I'm aware of this little scheme, do you?"
The room erupted with laughter as Tesoro made his entrance, watching the entire exchange with amusement.
