Naval Headquarters, Marineford.
On the front square, all the generals stood facing the Marine soldiers below.
Sengoku, filled with excitement, stepped up to the summit.
His gaze swept across the soldiers' faces as he spoke loudly, "Marine soldiers! Hello everyone!"
"Hello, Marshal!!!" The response from the Marine soldiers was deafening, like the roar of a mountain or a tsunami.
"Today, I want to ask all of you—what is our Marine's standing army?" Sengoku asked loudly.
"Justice!" The soldiers' answer rang out, strong and clear.
Some of the people watching the live broadcast were indifferent, while others felt something was off. After all, the Marine flags, cloaks, and uniforms all displayed the symbol of justice. Was Sengoku asking this question without reason?
If anyone else had asked, it wouldn't be surprising. But Sengoku was the Marine Admiral, and he was posing such a familiar question in front of a global live audience.
Many were puzzled.
"That's right! It's justice!" Sengoku said, his fingers waving excitedly as he scolded the troops.
"So I want to ask all of you, have we Marines truly delivered justice?" Sengoku's voice grew stern.
The Marine soldiers were taken aback. What was the Marshal asking?
"I have!" one soldier replied, though his voice lacked certainty.
The soldiers' responses were hesitant. It was clear they were unsure.
"Have we done it?" Sengoku asked again, his voice deepening. He then let out a loud laugh. "No! We Marines have not delivered justice at all!"
The reaction was immediate—an uproar among the Marines.
"What's happening?" Rayleigh's drink sobered him up instantly, his eyes widening.
"Gu la la la, is this world about to change?" Whitebeard chuckled, a hint of optimism in his tone.
Monkey D. Dragon was silent, uncertain. "Is this some sort of prank?"
The five old stars in Mariejois, watching the broadcast, grew concerned.
"What's Sengoku doing?" the bald elder asked, his eyes narrowing.
"This is too much!" the blonde elder added, furrowing his brow.
The round-hatted elder muttered under his breath, "Sengoku has gone too far."
Back on screen, Sengoku shouted, "No! This is not justice!"
The Marines were completely stunned. What was going on? Was the Marshal having a breakdown?
Sengoku's voice rang out, "The Celestial Dragons commit evil acts! They disregard human life, treating everyone as mere slaves! And we Marine protect them! Can we still claim that we are justice?!"
The soldiers were in shock. Though they knew Sengoku was right, the deeply ingrained perceptions they held made them feel conflicted.
"No! The Celestial Dragons are the descendants of the Creator! We must obey them unconditionally!" some Marines cried out.
"Nothing is wrong with the Gods!" another shouted.
"We should always support the Celestial Dragons!" others continued.
But Sengoku remained calm, a slight smile creeping into his eyes. As expected, the World Government's agents were revealing themselves now.
Just then, a ray of light appeared in the sky, and Kizaru descended, his body glowing like the sun, casting a blinding light over everyone.
He looked at the agents and spies who were speaking out and said with a grin, "Yo~ You secret agents from the World Government are really jumping around now."
The agents tried to defend themselves, but Kizaru responded sarcastically, "You'll find out soon enough whether you're agents or not."
Then, a woman appeared beside Sengoku on the summit stage.
Kizaru grinned. "Let me introduce to everyone: this is Violet, who has the ability of the Stare-Stare Fruit, able to see through your innermost thoughts!"
Sengoku turned to Violet and said, "Violet, point out the agents."
Violet gestured to the crowd, and began calling out: "Row 1, Column 3!" "Row 1, Column 97!" "Row 2, Column 46!"
Each time she spoke, Kizaru instantly moved at light speed, kicking the accused agents out of the square and into the open space in front of him.
Within moments, over 2,000 agents were forcibly removed.
"They're agents!" one of the Marines cried out.
"We're not guilty!" the agents shouted in protest.
But Sengoku remained unfazed. He had seen it all before.
"Those who confess will only serve five years in prison! Those who refuse to confess will be shot!" Sengoku declared.
One by one, the agents began to confess, and soon the truth was clear to all. The Marines had no doubts—these were real agents working for the World Government.
With the agents dealt with, the atmosphere shifted.
Sengoku, standing tall, took a deep breath and passionately shouted, "Soldiers! I, Sengoku, swear an oath here! From today, Marine will break from the World Government! We Marines, we will be the force of true justice!"
Admirals and Vice Admirals alike raised their voices in unison: "Out with the World Government! We are a just Marine!"
The Marines saw the leadership's resolve, and their doubts began to fade. What could they say now? If the higher-ups were standing against the Celestial Dragons, perhaps this was the right course.
The soldiers joined in, their voices echoing with newfound conviction: "Out with the World Government! We are a just Marine!"
