Ten Days Later, New World
The Marine fleet, under Finn's command, had entered the New World. Finn deliberately kept the fleet's pace steady, allowing the World Government enough time to enact their plan to attack Naval Headquarters. Despite the risks, Finn was confident in his strategy, especially after installing tracking mechanisms on the Red Hair Pirates during their encounter in Windmill Village.
Suddenly, Hina approached him on the deck, urgency in her stride.
"Marshal, we've received a distress signal from Momousagi Vice Admiral's fleet!"
Finn's expression darkened. Momousagi, a seasoned Vice Admiral, was no stranger to peril. For her to send a distress signal meant the situation was dire.
"Where's the phone bug?" Finn demanded.
Hina shook her head. "The signal has been cut off. We can't reach her."
"Give me the bug anyway." Finn activated his advanced communication system. His modified phone bug quickly pinpointed Momousagi's location.
"Hina, continue leading the fleet toward the rendezvous point," Finn ordered. "I'll handle this."
"But, Marshal—" she began, worry evident in her tone.
"Do as I say," Finn interrupted, his tone firm yet calm. Without further explanation, he launched into the air.
The Battle in the New Lens Sea
On the turbulent waters of the New Lens Sea, two Marine warships were heavily damaged, and a third was sinking. On the deck of one, Momousagi fought valiantly against two notorious pirates: Avalo Pizarro, the "Evil King," and Joate, known as "Big Barrel." Both were dangerous escapees from Impel Down's Level 6. Despite her skill, Momousagi was overwhelmed, her wounds bleeding profusely.
"Give it up, lady," Pizarro sneered. "Your head's worth more than your life."
Joate laughed drunkenly, raising his weapon. "Let's end this quick before Marine reinforcements arrive."
As they advanced for the final strike, a sudden, sharp whistle cut through the air. Pizarro's sword-wielding arm was impaled by a glowing energy blade, pinning him to the deck. Joate, turning to locate the source, was skewered by a dozen more energy swords that descended like a storm of divine wrath. One pierced straight through his skull, ending his life in seconds.
Momousagi, barely clinging to consciousness, stared in disbelief as a figure descended from the sky. The golden glow of energy swords surrounded him, casting an ethereal light on the battlefield.
"Marshal Finn…" she murmured, relief washing over her.
Pizarro, trembling and bloodied, tried to beg for mercy. "I surrender! Please—"
His plea was cut short as more energy blades impaled him, ensuring his defeat. The deck fell silent save for the crackling of flames and the lapping of waves against the damaged ships.
A Hero's Arrival
Finn landed gracefully beside Momousagi, who sat slumped against the railing. Her pale face betrayed her exhaustion and pain.
"You've done enough, Sister Momousagi," Finn said softly, his voice steady yet comforting. Without hesitation, he lifted her into his arms.
"Marshal…" she began, her voice trembling. Her cheeks flushed, not from blood loss but from the unfamiliar sensation of vulnerability. For a brief moment, the pain seemed to fade, replaced by a confusing mix of gratitude and embarrassment.
"You're safe now," Finn reassured her, tightening his grip as he prepared to return her to safety.
