Finn stepped onto the deck, immediately greeted by Tashigi and Kuina, who hurried over with serious expressions.
Behind Finn, Robin and Nami followed closely. Their presence seemed natural to everyone except for Carina, who smirked knowingly at Nami from a distance. Nami's cheeks turned a faint pink in response.
Tashigi pointed ahead, her tone urgent. "Master, the weather ahead has taken a strange turn—thick fog is everywhere!"
Finn glanced toward the horizon, where an impenetrable wall of mist loomed, obscuring even the sea beneath.
"What about the log pose?" Finn asked.
Tashigi handed him the device, which twitched erratically, the needle spinning as though possessed.
Finn frowned. This can't be good. "The fog must be messing with the magnetic fields," he muttered under his breath.
"What should we do now?" Tashigi inquired.
"Leave it to me."
Summoning his energy-infused fairy sword, Finn ascended into the sky in a flash, his sword carrying him through the dense fog. He soared higher until he finally broke free, emerging into clear skies nearly a thousand meters above.
From his vantage point, Finn surveyed the expanse of the fog. The mysterious area stretched out in a vast triangle, its shape triggering a memory.
"Wait a minute..." Finn murmured. The resemblance to the Devil's Triangle—a sea of eternal mist in the first half of the Grand Line—was uncanny. But hadn't that region cleared after Marine operations forced pirates to flee?
Yet here it was again, or something eerily similar. A sudden suspicion crept into Finn's mind. Could it be… Moria? Did he move his base here?
Wasting no time, Finn activated his smart brain den-den mushi. Its radar scanned the foggy expanse, detecting several signal sources: one belonged to Moria, another to Perona, and the others to Moria's crewmates.
Finn's suspicions were confirmed: the Moonlight Pirates had relocated.
He teleported back to the super battleship, where Tashigi awaited his report.
"It's Moria and his crew. I've pinpointed their location. Set the course this way," Finn directed.
As the battleship advanced, the dense fog began to clear, revealing a massive port ahead.
Robin's sharp eyes widened slightly. "There's an island hidden in the mist?"
Finn smirked. "Not an island—a pirate ship. Moria's ship is enormous, so it looks like one. It even has a forest on board."
With that, Finn led a small team—Kuina, Tashigi, Nami, and Robin—ashore. They had only taken a few steps when Finn abruptly stopped, his gaze sharpening.
In one swift motion, Finn pointed his finger and unleashed a Flying Finger Pistol. The attack struck an empty patch of ground some meters away, sending a muffled sound echoing through the air.
Seconds later, a figure materialized, collapsing onto the ground. It was Absalom, one of Moria's subordinates and the user of the Suke Suke no Mi (Invisibility Fruit).
The wound in his chest made it clear: Finn's precision was lethal.
"Invisibility might be impressive, but it's useless against top-tier Observation Haki," Finn remarked, dusting off his hands.
Nami gasped when she noticed the apple in her hand beginning to transform, intricate patterns appearing across its surface.
"Nami, that's incredible!" Robin exclaimed, her surprise evident.
"What's happening?" Nami asked, bewildered.
Robin explained, "When a Devil Fruit user dies, their ability sometimes transfers to a nearby fruit. It looks like Absalom's power has reincarnated into the fruit you're holding."
Nami's eyes sparkled. "Really? Then this is… the Invisibility Fruit?"
"Exactly. It's fate, Nami. Go ahead—eat it," Finn encouraged with a grin.
The others nodded, and Nami bit into the fruit. Moments later, she vanished from sight.
"Haha! Guess where I am!" Nami's playful voice rang out as she flitted invisibly around Finn.
Finn chuckled, reaching out to grab her hand with ease. "Caught you, silly girl."
Their lighthearted moment was interrupted by a sudden shift in the atmosphere. Kuina, Tashigi, and even Robin began murmuring self-deprecating thoughts.
"I'm not worthy of being the world's greatest swordsman…" Kuina muttered.
"I'm too old for Finn…" Robin whispered, looking despondent.
"A farm girl like me has no business being with the young master," Nami added, her confidence draining.
Finn's heart sank. What's going on?
Then he spotted her: a floating figure with a gothic Lolita aesthetic, carrying a red umbrella.
"Hehehe~" The girl giggled, her voice eerie.
Finn recognized her immediately. "Perona… so this is your Negative Hollow ability."
Perona's smirk faltered. "Huh? Why aren't you affected?"
Finn cracked his knuckles, a grin forming. "Haki's a funny thing—it works wonders against ghosts."
