The Search

Hours passed as David wandered through the empty house. Everything seemed off—alien. There were pictures on the walls, but none of the faces in them were familiar. His parents, his sister, his friends—none of them existed here. No matter how far he searched, there was no trace of anyone he knew.

Desperate, he tried leaving the house. Outside, the ground crunched under his feet like glass, the sky above a swirling mass of colors he couldn't comprehend. It was both beautiful and terrifying, a distorted version of the universe he had always known. His mind whirled with questions—what had happened to him? Where was everyone?

"Hello!" he yelled into the expanse, his voice fading into nothingness. There was no response, no sound but the faint whisper of the wind over the barren landscape.

David felt a sinking dread settle into his bones. He wasn't just alone—he was somewhere he couldn't even explain. A different reality. A different world. And as he explored further, he realized it wasn't just a different place. It was a different dimension.
