The Discovery

Days of wandering led David to the ruins of a small town, its buildings decayed and crumbling. As he picked through the wreckage, something caught his eye—a small, battered book lying in the dust. He picked it up, wiping away the grime to reveal its title: *The Theory of Infinite Worlds.*

His heart pounded as he opened the book, skimming through its worn pages. It detailed the existence of countless parallel universes, each one slightly different from the next. But one passage stood out to him:

*"In some worlds, certain events never occur. Parents never meet, lives are never born. Yet there are those who, by some anomaly, still find themselves crossing into these realities, existing in a universe where they should not."*

David's blood ran cold. Was that him? Had he crossed into a universe where his parents had never met, where he had never been born?

He needed to know more. The book referenced a place called the Nexus, a point where all universes converged. It was there, the book claimed, that the mysteries of existence could be unraveled.

Determined, David set out to find it.
