Chapter 145: Finally Received the Money!

Even so, the three of them lost all their fighting ability before it was even 10 PM.

Seeing this, Wayne simply left the battlefield in shambles and drove back to Wayne Manor. As for the heartbroken Sarah Michelle Gellar, she would probably get over it quickly after such a battle.

However, Amanda was not pleased when she learned that even Mr. "Nobri" had had a deep conversation with Wayne.

The next afternoon, after finishing his scenes and getting ready to wrap up early, Wayne was changing clothes in the dressing room when Amanda sneaked in, locked the door, and initiated an attack on him.

This time, Wayne couldn't hold back.

Even after that, Amanda was like a fangirl who had finally caught her idol, clinging to Wayne's arm like glue, as if trying to declare to the world, "Look, I got my idol too!"

Helpless, Wayne took her to see Martina, and with Annie, the three of them formed a trio of mean girls.

Not far away, Megan watched the three of them get into the car with Wayne, and her whole body turned to stone. It took her more than ten seconds to snap out of it, after which she angrily threw her newly bought water bottle to the ground.

"That damn bitch!"

Now, she was the only one from the "Mean Girls" cast who hadn't managed to hook up with Wayne! It felt like the goddess had slept with everyone at school, except for her!

Time flew by, and it was now February 21st. Just as Wayne had defeated both Monica Bellucci and Rachel Weisz and was preparing to open the system panel for the third time that day, a system notification rang in his mind, causing him to jolt and quickly open the panel.

"Finally! The money's here!"

Even with Wayne's usual calm and composure, he couldn't help but let out a long sigh of relief when he saw the funds hit his account. Excitedly, he clenched his fist.

But he didn't have much time to celebrate before Doug Liman called.

"Hey, Wayne, the final version of 'The Bourne Identity' is ready. When can you come and review it?"

"Does Mia know?" Wayne quickly calmed himself and asked.

"Ms. Mia is here."

"Alright, I'll come over now."

After thinking for a moment, Wayne called Jessica.

"Hey baby, it's me. Why don't you take the day off from your acting class today? The final cut of 'The Bourne Identity' is ready, and I'll pick you up to watch it at the company."

"Is it done? That's amazing!" Jessica cheered excitedly upon hearing the news.

"When will you be here?"

"About 15 minutes."

"Perfect, my dialogue class is just about to end."

After hanging up the phone, Wayne kissed the two sleeping beauties on their foreheads, then quickly got dressed and left.

About 15 minutes later, Wayne arrived at Jessica's usual class location.

"Sweetheart, you're here!"

"Yeah, and Lily's here too?" Wayne habitually wrapped an arm around Jessica's waist but was surprised to see the girl with the iconic thick eyebrows next to her.

Yes, this girl was none other than future Hollywood superstar Lily Collins.

Just as Wayne had suspected, when Jill Tavelman visited Wayne Manor a while back, she had brought her daughter Lily Collins with her.

Even though it was a Saturday, Mia was busy working at the company, and Hannah was with Wayne on the "Mean Girls" set, so Jessica had entertained the two of them.

Thanks to her excellent social skills, Jill quickly became friends with Jessica, though she didn't directly ask Wayne to help Lily get into Hollywood. But the implication was clear.

Now 12 years old, Lily posed no threat to Jessica, so she was happy to ask Wayne's opinion. When Wayne said he didn't mind, Lily started visiting Jessica whenever she had free time.

Wayne had run into her a few times since then.

At this stage, Lily was still a bit shy, not like Olsen, Amanda, or Scarlett, who all seemed eager to jump into bed with him. Every time she saw Wayne, she'd just stand there nervously, looking up at him with big, admiring eyes, so they weren't particularly close.

At the very least, Wayne didn't know that Lily Collins was taking acting classes with Jessica.

"It was my suggestion," Jessica explained. "Didn't you say that no matter how many resources an actor has, if they're not talented, they're like... what did you call it?"

"Like a 'useless puppet.'"

"Yeah, a 'useless puppet.' Lily wants to be a Hollywood star, so I suggested she come to class with me. Now I have a buddy too."

"Alright then." Wayne shrugged indifferently.

"So, is Lily staying for class, or coming with us?"

Lily quickly glanced at Wayne before looking to Jessica for help.

"She's still so young, and leaving her here might not be safe since some of the other students are... well, shady. Plus, she's interested in our new movie. Why don't we take her with us?"

"Fine, just call Mrs. Tavelman and let her know."

Wayne got back in the car and started the engine.

Lily, excited that Wayne agreed, happily high-fived Jessica before hopping into the car.
