Learning About Mafia

"Master is really up to no good," Xuan whispered to Muchen, who nodded in agreement.

The next morning, Muchen walked Xin Yi to Li Qiang's office. Muchen knocked on the door and heard Li Qiang's voice inviting them in. Upon entering, they saw Li Qiang standing in front of the table, leaning on it. He wore a grey shirt and trousers, with three buttons unbuttoned, revealing his white, muscular chest and a diamond necklace.

His face looked serious, yet his eyes were calm, his thick eyebrows moving up and down as if expecting something.

"Xin Yi, I see you finally want to be my bodyguard," he said arrogantly.

"Mr. Gou, aren't you supposed to speak with respect?" Xin Yi confronted Li Qiang. He walked closer, folded his arms, bent to her ear, and whispered, "Respect isn't in my dictionary." He straightened up, still looking at Xin Yi. "Xin Yi, you will be paid 100,000 yuan per month."

In Xin Yi's mind, visions of bags, shoes, clothes, and lots of makeup danced. She grinned.

"Muchen, show Xin Yi around," Li Qiang ordered. Xin Yi glared at Li Qiang before turning to leave the office.

Once outside, Xin Yi covered her mouth. "Oh my God, Muchen, 100,000 yuan per month! I'm rich! Is this how much you get paid?" She smiled happily at Muchen, who sighed, causing her smile to fade.

"What is it?" she asked worriedly.

"I'm not paid that much. You are his personal bodyguard; I get half of that," he said jealously, sighing again.

"You're jealous of your master, aren't you? Even though the money is illegal, it will still be useful," she said, sighing at the thought of her upcoming wealth.

"Hey, master, please stop flaunting," he said, and they both laughed.

After they walked to the entrance of the bodyguards' quarters, Xin Yi spoke.

"Oh my! This is the quarters for bodyguards," Xin Yi exclaimed. The building next to the main mansion looked similar, but it was painted black and gold. Before entering, Muchen showed his ID card and informed the guards that Xin Yi was the new bodyguard.

Upon entering, Xin Yi could only look in awe. "Oh my God, this is so—" she covered her mouth, marveling at the golden interior with a touch of black paint.

"Master, don't act like an illiterate," Muchen chided gently.

Xin Yi removed her hand from her mouth and glared at Muchen.

"How dare you?" she snapped.

"I'm sorry, Master," he apologized, leading her to the transparent elevator that took them to the first floor.

They were greeted by numerous bodyguards in black suits and trousers, some chatting and others just returning from missions. Muchen led Xin Yi to the head bodyguard.

"Good morning," Muchen greeted.

"Good morning, Munch. How are you?" the head bodyguard smiled.

"I'm not Munch, please, Head Guard," he begged.

"This must be Xin Yi?" the head guard asked.

"Yeah," Muchen confirmed. The head guard dismissed him and took a walk with Xin Yi, showing her around.

"Xin Yi, this is where you will get your clothes," he said, pointing to a closed golden door with a black handle and a golden signboard that read 'Tailor' in black letters. Xin Yi pouted her lips and nodded.

They walked further to another closed door with the same design but a different signboard that read 'Hospital.' Xin Yi looked at the door, surprised that there was not only a tailor but also a hospital.

"You can come here when you are injured or shot, but if you die, so be it," he said. Xin Yi looked at him, shocked.

The head guard nodded. "Yes, Mr. Xin Yi, you can step back if you want," he said reluctantly.

"No, uh, no," she replied nervously.

"That's great," the head guard said with a smile.

Xin Yi walked through the golden passage lined with numbered doors. She looked at each number until she found the one the head guard had mentioned. Opening the door, she stepped into a room that resembled a high-class apartment.

Xin Yi's mouth fell open in awe at the interior design. The room was adorned with luxurious furnishings, from the plush velvet sofa to the crystal chandelier that cast a warm, inviting glow. The walls were painted a soft gold, complementing the black accents perfectly. A large window offered a breathtaking view of the sprawling estate grounds, with manicured gardens and a sparkling fountain.

"This is incredible," Xin Yi whispered, her voice filled with wonder.

Let's add more vivid descriptions and emotional depth to make this part of your chapter truly captivating:

She walked further into the room and saw a bed with someone on it. Curious, she approached and pulled the duvet back, revealing a shirtless man wearing only boxers. As soon as she did, he opened his eyes and grabbed her hand, causing her to fall onto the bed.

"Ahhhh!" Xin Yi screamed, her heart racing.

"You must be the new bodyguard?" he asked, scanning her face with his piercing eyes.

"Yes," she replied, and he released her hand, sitting up on the bed. He then pulled her hand again, this time to shake it.

"Then we are buddies. I'm Haoyu, nice to meet you," he said with a big smile, waiting for her to introduce herself.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I am Xin Yi," she responded, smiling back. They both smiled at each other until Xin Yi forcefully pulled her hand from his grip. "Ahh."

Later, Xin Yi wore the dress Muchen had worn that morning and sat in a dark room with a projector in front of her. The head guard entered and turned on the projector, which started showcasing the family.

"You have met the underboss but haven't met the real boss. This video will teach you about the family. You have 30 minutes to learn," the head guard said before walking out. Xin Yi already hated this man; he was so strict.

Xin Yi watched the video, which explained the family's activities.

"The family has a big ship carrier with lots of goods in the cargo."

"Ugh, it's like they're pretending the goods aren't illegal," she sighed. After the video finished, the lights came on, and the head guard returned to ask what she had learned.

"The family is the biggest mafia in China, and they sell goods to countries like Italy, the USA, Thailand, and other countries," she explained.

"And what are those goods?" he asked.

"Drug trafficking," she answered. The head guard just looked at her.

"Go for training. Your locker number is 142," he said, leaving the room.

Later, Xin Yi wore black joggers and a long-sleeved jacket. She and the others, including Muchen, stood at a shooting range, each wearing earmuffs and holding a handgun, aiming at their targets. The air was filled with the scent of gunpowder and the sound of muffled shots.

"Start!" the trainer shouted, and they all fired three rounds.

Though Xin Yi didn't shoot well, the trainer called her over.

"Xin Yi, you must train yourself very well for the shooting class. It is important to know," the trainer explained, his voice stern but not unkind.

"Yes, sir," she replied, and the man dismissed her.

As Muchen walked with Xin Yi to the fighting class, he teased her.

"Master, you aren't a great shooter like I thought."

"You know I studied shooting and martial arts," Xin Yi said, grabbing Muchen's ear and twisting it.

Muchen scrunched his face in pain. "Please, please, Master, I'm sorry," he begged, trying to remove her hand from his ear.

"You are quite strong," Haoyu praised, catching their attention. Xin Yi and Muchen turned their heads toward him.
