Chapter 31: A visit to Agatha!
Today, Sakolomé arrives in class and finds his classmates standing, as if they were waiting for him, Sakolome does not understand what is happening, he then asks.
Sakolomé: What are you doing?!
One speaks.
"Have you already forgotten?"
Another one chains the words.
"Yesterday we said that if we lose we will do what you want until the end of the year, so!"
Sakolomé's classmates were not really happy, there was sadness on their faces, and disgust.
Sakolomé smiles and says.
Sakolomé: You are also honest, yet you are free to refuse this thing by your own will seeing how much you hate me!
"Fine...we would have done it without any problem, if there wasn't a witness as important as Mrs. Alia!"
Sakolomé: Ah...I see!
Sakolomé comes forward, the students all move out of his way to let him pass.
Sakolomé arrives at his place, puts down his schoolbag and sits down.
Sakolomé: I don't need your services, do what you want, I don't gain anything by making you my slaves, but in the future try not to make stupid bets please!
Sakolomé takes a book and starts reading.
All the others are stunned and can't believe their eyes.
"Sakolomé, are you serious? We can continue our activities without obeying your orders in view of our Paris yesterday?!"
Sakolomé nods and says.
Sakolomé: Yes, now do what you usually do, you're stopping me from concentrating on my reading!
Sakolomé's classmates start jumping for joy except Leyla who was standing watching Sakolomé, she was blushing stupidly without realizing it and was just looking at him.
She could no longer look away when suddenly she whispered.
Leyla: It's unbelievable, who does he think he is?!
The door to the room opens and it was Mrs. Alia who had just entered.
She is surprised by the joy in the class and says.
Alia: Wow, such joy this morning almost makes me want to do a test!!
Her sentence seems to have ruined the mood, students are complaining left and right, Mrs. Alia looks at Sakolomé and winks at him.
He smiles and does the same.
The day goes by and the class ends.
Sakolomé takes the road home and meets Salomé on the way.
Sakolomé: Hey Salomé, didn't you already come back at the same time as Bakuzan and Bakuran?!
Salomé: No, I was waiting for you, besides Bakuzan hasn't finished yet, it's Bakuran who finished and went home!
Salomé takes her schoolbag and seems to be looking for something in it, she takes out a sheet of paper and hands it to Sakolomé.
Salomé: Look, I got another good grade!
Sakolomé takes the sheet of paper and looks at it, he smiles and says.
Sakolomé: an A+ bravo Salomé, you maybe deserve a gift!
Salome (smiling): No, anyway you're too broke to buy me a present....
This word pierces Sakolomé's heart like a saber.
He is frustrated and looks at Salome with a squint of his eyes.
Sakolomé: yeah that's it, I'm too broke!
Salome senses the blunder she caused, she rushes to want to fix it.
Salome: Ah...sorry big brother it's just that I..I..uh..!
Sakolomé: come on relax, besides it's not like what you said was wrong, well, how about you come with me to see someone?
Salome: Who? Your girlfriend?!
Sakolomé blushes and says.
Sakolomé: don't talk nonsense, it's one of my classmates, Agatha, the one I told you about yesterday!
Salomé: Oh yeah, the girl who was on your team?!
Sakolomé nods.
Sakolomé: Exactly, but first I'm going to buy some fruit!
Salomé: OK, let's go!
Sakolomé and Salomé head to a store to buy some good bananas, then they go out to take a taxi that takes them directly to the big hospital in Monor City.
They get there and go straight into the hospital to the reception.
At the reception, there was a lady, with glasses and quite pretty who greets them.
"What do you want my children?!"
Sakolomé: Um... it's for a visit, we would like to see a friend who is in this hospital!
The lady scratches her chin and says .
"What's her name?!"
Sakolomé: Her name is Agatha Mei!
The lady types a few keys on her computer and then says .
"Ah, the one with a broken ankle, she's on the 10th floor, 5th room on the left, by the way, she's very brave, she might get out by next Monday!"
Sakolomé smiling answers.
Sakolomé: That's good news!
The lady adds .
"You two are good friends, what's in your bag?!"
Sakolomé: Just bananas, do you want one?!
The lady blushes and says .
"Um..me, oh thank you very much my little one, you are so adorable!"
Sakolomé snatches a banana from his bag and gives it to the lady.
The lady takes the banana and peels it before eating it.
"You can take the elevator over there!"
She said while pointing in a direction.
Sakolomé and Salomé look at each other and nod at the same time.
They then look at the lady and say.
Sakolomé/Salomé: Thank you ma'am!
The lady smiles and replies.
"You're welcome my little ones!"
Sakolomé and Salomé head towards the elevator.
Sakolomé: Um..Salomé?!
He said, Salomé looks at him and says.
Salomé: Yes, big brother?
Sakolomé: Do you know how an elevator works?!
Salome shakes her head.
Salome: No, not at all!
Sakolome: Shit... how are we going to do it then?!
Salome points to the elevator and says.
Salome: Look, there's a man going there, we just have to go with him, he can help us!!
Sakolome (smiling): Yeah, that's a good idea!!
They arrive at the elevator and get in with a man.
The man looks at them and Sakolome senses the perfect moment to ask the question.
Sakolome: Um sir, please, we'd like to know which floor you're going to?!
"Um... 10th floor, why this question?!"
The man answers.
Sakolome and Salome look at each other and smile.
Sakolome looks at the man again and says.
Sakolomé: actually that's where we're going too, but we don't know how an elevator works so we needed someone to help us!
The man looks at them without speaking for a moment then he says.
"It's very simple, come on I'll show you!"
The man takes the opportunity to show the young killer man how an elevator is built and the rest, they arrive at the tenth floor and all get out of the elevator.
Sakolomé and Salomé look at the man who was going to the first room.
Sakolomé: thank you very much again sir!
The man enters the room.
Salomé asks Sakolomé.
Salomé: Um... big brother do you remember the room indicated?!
Sakolomé: Yes, it's the 5th room on the left!
Sakolomé and Salomé go and open it.
They see Agatha lying down, who turns around.
Sakolomé: Hey Agatha?!
She turns around again and looks at who is in front of the door.
Agatha: Hey Sakolomé, it's you, come in damn I'm happy to see you again!!
Sakolomé and Salomé go into the room.
Sakolomé hands the bag to Agatha.
Sakolomé: Here, we brought you bananas!
Agatha is smiling, she says.
Agatha: That's so nice, plus I love bananas, put them on the table!
Agatha then looks at Salomé and says.
Agatha: Hey is that your little sister?!
Sakolomé: Yes, her name is Salomé!
Agatha, smiling, looks at Salomé and adds.
Agatha: You're so cute, can you shake my hand please?!
Agatha holds out her hand to Salomé who does the same.
Agatha: Wow, your hand, it's so soft!
Salomé starts to blush.
Salomé: Um...thanks that's nice!
Agatha: Wow, it looks like she's really shy!!
Agatha was talking to Salomé, Sakolomé was standing and smiling. He had never seen a girl treat Salomé with such kindness.
Agatha had said that Salomé was shy but actually no, that's not quite it.
Salomé isn't shy normally except with compliments.
Agatha: hey Sakolomé aren't you saying anything?!
Sakolomé come out of his deep thoughts.
Sakolomé: Um... I didn't want to bother you!
Agatha smiles and says.
Agatha: It's very nice of you to come visit me, since I've been here, I've had visitors from people except my parents!
Sakolomé: Oh... Agatha, can I ask you a question?!
Agatha: Yes of course, go ahead!
Sakolomé (swallowing): Agatha, I notice that you're surprisingly nice, unlike the others you really don't hate me?!
Agatha: No don't worry!
Sakolomé: And can I know why exactly, your behavior intrigues me a lot you know?!
Agatha (smiling): Haha, but it's really not necessary you know!
Sakolomé looks at Agatha without saying a word.
She suddenly looks elsewhere, as if she was thinking of something, then she says.
Agatha: Sakolomé, I can't blame you for the simple reason that I don't see any point in doing that!
Sakolomé and Salomé are focused on what Agatha was saying.
Agatha: Your ancestors were monsters, that's clear, I won't deny that at first when I knew you were a killer man I watched you from afar, I even hesitated to approach you but over time I felt that you were a good person, today's killer men have nothing to do with their ancestors, I noticed it, plus I didn't want to be like the others, by dint of hating you they don't even realize that they have become monsters!
Sakolomé widens his eyes.
Agatha's words were something he couldn't stop thinking about.
His classmates hated him but they had never tried to understand that at one point they had all turned into monsters with hearts of stone.
Agatha: Anyway now you know everything, so what do you think?!
Sakolomé: I... I have to say that you are someone very special, you don't follow the crowd and you try to make up your own minds in order to follow them yourself!
Agatha nods.
Agatha: Exactly, that's all me, otherwise Sakolomé you made them sweat at football how is that possible?
She then looks at Salomé and says.
Agatha: Salomé, do you know that your big brother is too good at football?!
Sakolomé is still surprised.
He finds this girl really extraordinary, he almost reminded her of Melinda, because of her kindness and her principles.
A conversation about football followed, laughter left and right with lots of funny jokes from the three children.
When suddenly it was already almost 4 p.m. and Sakolomé had to go back with Salomé.
Sakolomé: Okay, Agatha, we're going to leave!
Salomé: Goodbye Agatha!
Agatha was in tears.
Agatha: really... really good things never last, will you come see me again tomorrow?!
Sakolomé looks at Salomé, then Salomé herself rushes to answer.
Salomé: Yes, with even more banana, we promise you!
Agatha wipes her tears and takes Salomé in her arms.
Agatha: Thank you..really thank you both!!
Sakolomé and Salomé leave the room, take the elevator and arrive again at the reception.
The lady looks at them and says.
"Here you are again kids, how was it?"
Sakolomé: It was so cool, too bad we have to go back in!
Sakolomé and Salomé leave the hospital.
Salomé: Agatha is so cool, right Sakolomé?!
Sakolomé: You can't even imagine how, I'm always surprised to have met someone like that in town!
Salomé: Like anything is really possible big brother!
Sakolomé (smiling): you're right Salomé.
The walk continues until they arrive at a park.
The view was magnificent with the orange sun on the sky.
Sakolomé stops for a moment and looks at the sun.
Salomé notices that her big brother was no longer walking, she stops and says.
Salomé: What are you doing big brother?!
Sakolomé: Don't you think the sky is beautiful?!
Salomé looks at the sky then answers.
Salomé: Yes it's pretty!
Sakolomé then looks at the park then sees a silhouette that he thinks he knows.
Sakolomé: Huh... isn't that Leyla over there?!
Salomé (intrigued): Ley... what?
Sakolomé: Yes it's her!!
Salomé: But what are you talking about big brother?!
Sakolomé looks at Salomé and says.
Sakolomé: Just a classmate, I want to go and greet her but she hates me to death, we should keep moving!
Sakolomé takes a few steps towards Salomé then stops abruptly.
Sakolomé: Actually, I'm going to take the risk!
