On the outskirts of the capital, in Zhang's villa, the old housekeeper Li Qiang hurried into the room and announced, "Master, I've got great news! I've contacted two top-tier killers."
Zhang Bafeng, sipping tea calmly, raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Tell me more."
Beside him, his wife, Liu Panpan, leaned forward, her eyes sharp with interest. "Li Qiang, don't keep us in suspense. Speak quickly."
Li Qiang bowed slightly before continuing. "Madam, the killers I found are foreign mercenaries. One is a four-star awakened named Chuck, and the other is a three-star awakened named Carlos."
Liu Panpan frowned, her voice edged with doubt. "Four-star and three-star? Are they strong enough to take down Yuto Saito and Ni Shuang?"
She still recalled the stories about Yuto Saito—how he had easily slaughtered five demon monkeys brought by a beast master.
Li Qiang quickly added, "Madam, these two are snipers. Head-to-head, they might struggle, but in a surprise attack, they can guarantee to kill Yuto Saito and Ni Shuang without fail."
Hearing that, Zhang Bafeng smiled, feeling more confident. "A sniper attack, huh? Even someone as powerful as Yuto Saito wouldn't stand a chance if he's caught off guard."
Liu Panpan shared his smile, picturing Yuto Saito's downfall. A sniper's bullet could easily end the life of even the most powerful warrior if they weren't prepared.
"How much are they asking for?" Zhang Bafeng inquired, ready to negotiate.
Li Qiang hesitated before responding, "They're not asking for money, Master."
Zhang Bafeng blinked in surprise. "Not asking for money? Then what do they want?"
"They said that in this post-apocalyptic world, money holds no value. On their side, in the Lighthouse Country, most of the cities have fallen. They're after something more practical."
Liu Panpan scoffed. "So these killers fled here from overseas?"
Li Qiang shook his head. "No, Madam. They've been here in the capital for a while, having visited Dragon Country just last week."
Zhang Bafeng's curiosity piqued. "So, what exactly do they want?"
"They've asked for ten tons of supplies and a business jet that can seat at least six people."
Zhang Bafeng leaned back, considering the request. His family's warehouse held around 120 tons of supplies—ten tons was manageable. But a plane?
"A plane, huh?" he mused. "Ten tons of supplies I can spare, but what about replacing the plane with a yacht instead?"
Li Qiang shook his head firmly. "I asked, Master, but they were adamant. They need a plane, not a boat."
Liu Panpan's lip curled in disdain. "Brother Feng, they might just be bluffing. What if they're not as skilled as they claim?"
Li Qiang quickly defended their abilities. "Madam, these two are renowned snipers. They've both awakened unique talents. Their strength isn't to be underestimated."
Liu Panpan considered his words, then nodded. "If they can truly avenge our son, I have no issue giving them the plane. But only after they've completed the job."
Zhang Bafeng agreed. "Yes, we'll give them the supplies upfront as a deposit. The plane can wait until they finish."
Li Qiang bowed. "Understood, Master. I'll contact them immediately."
After Li Qiang left, Liu Panpan turned to her husband, her voice tense with emotion. "Brother Feng, do you think these snipers can really avenge our son?"
Zhang Bafeng, though uncertain, held onto hope. "Li Qiang was right—it would be difficult to face Yuto Saito in a direct confrontation. But a surprise attack with sniper rifles? The odds are in our favor."
His eyes narrowed as he added, "With two shooters aiming simultaneously, they should at least be able to take down one of them—either Yuto Saito or Ni Shuang."
Liu Panpan's expression hardened with determination. "No matter what, Yuto Saito and Ni Shuang must die."
Meanwhile, back on the floating island, Yuto Saito and Ni Shuang remained unaware of the deadly plot against them. Yuto Saito was lounging in the hot spring, letting the warm water ease his muscles after a long day of fighting zombies.
A few of the girls splashed around playfully in the large spring, their laughter echoing through the space. Yuto watched them, thinking how peaceful moments like these made all their hard work worth it.
Today had been a tough day at Devil's Capital, battling hordes of zombies. His team had earned some rest.
After a while, Yun Yun and Orange left the hot spring, heading back to the villa to start preparing dinner. Ni Shuang, Mina, and the others settled on the sofas in the common area, keeping up with the latest news and updates.
Despite the calm on the floating island, the winds of danger were already swirling around them.
