Song Yi gazed at the lifeless human-faced demon spider, astonished. How could such a cunning and formidable creature have fallen so easily?

"Who could possibly kill a fourth-tier monster so quickly?" she pondered aloud.

Gao Guang, scanning the area with a vigilant eye, replied, "Yesterday at Douyu University, an Awakened named Yuto Saito defeated another Awakened with beast-fighting talent and wiped out numerous zombies in the boys' dormitory!"

Impressed by this, Song Yi considered the prospect of inviting Yuto Saito to join the military. "Could it really be him?" she murmured, contemplating the implications.

Gao Guang nudged her, "Song, I suggest we leave this place for now."

Nodding in agreement, Song Yi activated her storage ring to collect the spider's remains. This ring had been distributed to each captain by the military earlier that day, a tool designed for efficient retrieval in the field.

Once the human-faced spider was safely stored, they departed the back mountain, making their way along the school's green pathways.

Suddenly, Gao Guang pointed in disbelief, "Captain, look over there!"

On the lawn, the bodies of 997 snakes lay scattered. Some classmates were barbecuing small snakes, while others left the remains of their kills untouched. Notably, Nazi, one of the students, had killed these snakes but had neglected to collect them.

"Douyu University truly is a hidden gem," Song Yi remarked, taking in the impressive display. "This place has some serious talent!"

"Why not ask your classmates about it?" suggested Gao Guang.

"Good idea," Song Yi agreed, and they made their way toward the boys' dormitory.

Upon entering the first floor of the male dormitory, Song Yi approached a male student to inquire about the snake incident. While he wasn't familiar with Nazi, he mentioned that a female student wielding a spear had single-handedly taken down many of the snakes.

"Thank you!" Song Yi said, nodding appreciatively before exiting the boys' dormitory.

"Not Yuto Saito, but a female student?" she mused. "This Douyu University really is mysterious. Should we check the girls' dormitory?"

"Sure," Gao Guang replied. "I'm curious to see who possesses such remarkable talent."

As they approached the girls' dormitory, Gao Guang hesitated. "Song, you go ahead and ask. I'll wait here."

"Are you shy, Aguang?" she teased.

"It's just that some students might be in pajamas," he explained, turning slightly.

"Come on, you're a police officer! You'll encounter situations like this often," Song Yi joked.

Reluctantly, Gao Guang followed her to the girls' dormitory entrance.

Song Yi knocked on the door. "Hello!"

A female student opened the door, surprised to see a police officer duo outside. Dressed in light vests due to the heat, she felt a sudden shyness when confronted with Gao Guang's presence.

Song Yi seized the moment. "Excuse me, could you tell me which classmate was responsible for killing the snakes on the lawn?"

"Oh, that was Nazi with the spear," the girl replied. "And there's Zhou Shuyi, who used her fire talent to burn several snakes. A lot of the boys helped too."

"Could you share their dormitory rooms?" Song Yi inquired.

"I'm not sure about that, but they live upstairs. You should check there."

"Thank you so much!"

The girl blushed slightly, stealing glances at the handsome male officer who was turned away, contemplating if he was as good-hearted as he seemed.

"Aguang, let's head upstairs," Song Yi said, gesturing.

"Alright," he replied.

Upon reaching the upper floors, they learned that Nazi was currently absent from her dormitory. However, they discovered that both Nazi and her peers were quite impressive.

When they finally located Zhou Shuyi, she confirmed, "Yes, those snakes were mostly taken down by Nazi. But Yuto Saito is even stronger than she is."

"Just as I suspected!" Song Yi thought. "That fourth-tier human-faced demon spider was most likely his doing."

After a few more inquiries, Song Yi and Gao Guang collected the snake corpses and left the school, heading back to the base camp.

"Team Song is back!" greeted an officer at the gate, saluting.

As they entered, Song Yi and Gao Guang reported their findings to the team.

With a sense of triumph, they laid out the human-faced spider and hundreds of snake corpses, leaving the onlookers in shock.

"Did you kill all these?" an officer named Chen asked incredulously.

"No," Song Yi clarified. "They were all taken down by the Awakened students from Douyu University."

"A fourth-tier monster killed by a student?" Chief Chen marveled, looking at the spider. "Douyu University is full of surprises! We must invite them to join the army."

"That may be challenging," Song Yi replied, thinking of the students' independence.

"Regardless, it's worth the effort to try," Chief Chen insisted.

Back at the Floating Island

Meanwhile, on the floating island, dinner preparations were nearing completion. Yun Yun and Orange carried steaming dishes to the dining area.

"Time to eat!" Yun Yun announced cheerfully.

"Yeah, let's dig in!" Orange echoed.

The group gathered around the table, ready to enjoy a sumptuous feast together.
