Chapter Five: Lifting the Tripod

Time always passes unconsciously. In the blink of an eye, two years have passed. The little one is now three and a half years old and has his own name - Shi Hao.

When he was over one year old, he could only run behind the older children. Now, at the age of three and a half, his physical constitution is astonishingly strong and he often runs around with a group of older children.

At this moment, a piece of open space in Shicun is surrounded by people, packed tightly. Men, women, the elderly and children of the village are watching the teenagers practicing martial arts.

A group of children have firm muscles and are bare-chested, sweating profusely. They are competing with each other. Some children can actually swing a copper hammer weighing over a hundred jin, making the wind whistle.

They range from six or seven years old to twelve or thirteen years old. Each one is like a little fierce beast in the mountains and forests, with boundless strength and astonishingly strong and sturdy bodies.

"Look, that's my kid. He's only six years old and can use a green stone weighing over a hundred jin as a shield. Who can compare? He will surely be a remarkable hero in the Great Wilderness in the future!"

"My kid is more powerful. Look, he has fully drawn the rhinoceros tendon bow that only adults can draw. In the future, he will surely be able to shoot and kill a powerful fierce beast with one arrow and kill an adult pixiu."

Although the villagers are simple-hearted, when they get together, they also like to praise their children for being powerful. After comparing with each other, some strong men clenched their palm-sized hands into fists, waved them continuously and were beaming with joy.

The women in the village were also grinning from ear to ear. These children are really outstanding. Each one is full of vigor and has inexhaustible strength. The future of Shicun will surely become strong because of them.

"Moo..."

A roar of a wild ox shook the village.

"Look, Er Meng is only eight and a half years old. He actually overturned a wild ox. Incredible!"

In the middle of the field, there was a big bluish-black wild ox. Its whole body was as black and shiny as satin and it let out a rumbling roar. But as soon as it went wild, it was knocked down by a not very tall child, which caused a burst of amazement.

"Finally, our efforts have not been in vain. Every once in a while, several elders of the clan use true blood of fierce beasts and bone-strengthening treasures to temper their bodies. It has played a significant role."

"These children are all very strong. Maybe some heroes will really emerge in the future and drive those powerful prehistoric species deep in the mountains to flee in panic."

"Boom!"

The ground shook violently and dust rose. Everyone's attention was drawn to it. Everyone was surprised. Someone was going to lift the tripod!

In the center of the open space, there was a bronze tripod, weighing over a thousand jin. There were patterns of birds and beasts on it, full of ancient charm. The tripod wall was very thick, giving a sense of heaviness and grandeur. The tripod legs, often grasped and lifted by people, were very smooth, polished like a mirror, with the shape of a vermilion bird branded on them.

"Little Shi Jiao is not good enough. You almost hurt your waist just now. You only lifted the tripod off the ground. You are still too young. You won't be able to lift it within four years." An adult teased.

A thousand-jin heavy copper tripod cannot be messed with randomly, otherwise, you will hurt yourself. Ordinary children cannot lift it. Usually, they are not allowed to approach it because it is too heavy.

"I'll try!"

A very strong child stepped forward. He looked about twelve or thirteen years old. He grasped a tripod ear and a tripod leg with both hands and exerted force vigorously. The tripod was shaken and lifted off the ground, but then it fell back with a loud crash, raising a cloud of dust.

Apparently, he failed. Fortunately, the child was not injured.

"I'll come too!"

Another child stepped forward. He had just knocked down a wild ox. His name was Shi Meng. He was the second child in the family and his nickname was Er Meng. He was indeed very thick and strong. Now he was only eight and a half years old.

"Boom!" The copper tripod was lifted off the ground and gradually raised into the air by him, which surprised everyone. This was still a child, but he had actually achieved this step. It was truly astonishing.

"Boom!"

Unfortunately, he failed to lift it above his head. His arms were already trembling and he threw it out with a loud crash, creating a pit on the ground. Soil and sand splashed everywhere.

After someone took the lead, other children were also eager to try. Thus, the children went forward one by one, all trying to shake the tripod. However, no one succeeded all along.

Until a child with thick eyebrows and big eyes and a tall figure stepped forward. His name was Shi Dazhuang. He took a deep breath, grasped a tripod ear and a tripod leg forcefully, lifted it vigorously and quickly raised it above his head.

Although his arms were trembling slightly and his legs were also shaking a little, he finally succeeded, astonishing the adults. After all, this was only a nine-year-old child and could be called a born supernatural strongman!

"Good job, Dazhuang. You will surely be extraordinary in the future!"

"This is a nine-year-old kid. I think within a few thousand li around, there are few among his peers who can compare. He will surely be one of the most powerful people in this area in the future!"

Adults naturally did not stint on their praises. Of course, they also encouraged and praised Er Meng because he almost succeeded and his strength was astonishing.

Several elders of the clan all smiled. The efforts spent over these years have not been wasted. They often used the true blood of fierce beasts to temper the bodies of these children. Now the effect has manifested. There will surely be some powerful people in Shicun in the future.

"Little Dot, you are peeping around. Do you also want to have a try?" An adult joked.

Among the crowd, there was a little fellow looking around curiously. It was exactly the little one. Now he has a name called Shi Hao. He was very small and could only see the older children lifting the tripod by standing on tiptoes and squeezing forward.

"Yes. They all say that little Hao Hao has astonishing strength. Although he is a little younger, come and have a try. Don't lift the tripod first. Come and catch the stone lock."

Someone nodded and said, "According to my kid, little Hao Hao is no less strong than them. I never believed it. Just take this opportunity. Let the little one have a try."

Shi Hao is now three and a half years old. His black hair reaches his shoulders. His big eyes are black and bright, very lively. He is fair and clean, pretty and lovely.

The little one looked at several elders of the clan. They all smiled. Shi Yunfeng said, "Go ahead. I also want to see how much strength you have now."

"Heyah!" Shi Hao was very small. The sound he made when exerting force was naturally childish, but he lifted a big stone roller easily.

"Really not simple!" Everyone nodded.

Then, he grabbed a stone millstone again and threw it vigorously. With a whoosh, the extremely heavy stone tool was thrown like an ordinary stone and flew over sixty or seventy meters away at once.

"Boom!" The stone millstone hit the ground, creating a big pit. Sand and stones splashed everywhere. Dust rose and the ground shook violently.

Everyone was stunned for a while and could not say a word.

Next, the little one suddenly ran towards the big bluish-black wild ox, exerted force quickly, grasped one of its horns and directly knocked it down.

Although there was some skill in exerting force, it was enough to show how astonishing his strength was. There was a sound of gasping in the scene. The villagers felt as if they saw a little fierce beast showing its power, shocking people's vision.

You should know that little Shi Hao is still very young now. He is the shortest among the crowd. No matter how you look at him, he is like a porcelain doll and it is difficult to associate him with brute force.

In the shocked gazes of everyone, Shi Hao walked towards the big tripod. Due to the height limit, he could not grasp the tripod ears. He directly squatted down, supported the bottom of the tripod and then exerted force vigorously. With a rumbling sound, the bronze tripod was lifted off the ground and raised above his head.

Everyone was stunned and simply could not believe what they saw. This was only a three and a half year old child, but he was actually able to lift a thousand-jin heavy tripod. It was too astonishing.

What was this? It was just like a child of a golden-winged roc or like an offspring of a pure-blood pixiu king. Little Shi Hao was comparable to a real young ancient fierce beast!
